first time harvest, help

Just hung a plant i harvested, should i have my fan just blowing indirectly in the room some where? Or have the fan osculating on the buds themselves?

Also my rh stays at _35% i know its kinda low but should it be okay? My temps stay at 65-f-70f

Can anyone maybe give me some tips as well? Trying to do this dry and cure proper

Also could i just run the fan (_petastole osculating fan( for 30 min on and hour off and so on? Or wouldmit be best to peave on 24/7

Yo dude! Just bung all your buds in a brown bag for 3 days, then check. Jar if dry enough or smoke. Brown Bags are a miracle for weed mate. 35% RH is really dry but your Temps r ok. I always hung or bag for the amount of days of RH plus one, example --- 35% RH = 3.5 days + 1. So id be check them after 3 days.

Then jar it, buy a mini RH meter, pop that in the jar with ya weed and check the RH after 6-12 Hours, if above 70% its wet again,bag it for another day then jar & repeat.

If below 45%, too dry mate. I'd still bag it tho. Trick is to get 'Jarred' RH down to between 50-65%, that's perfect for curing.

I like to hang my buds in a nice dark place, then after the outside areas are dried, then I bag them.
I find the initial dry helps wick the moisture out from the inner parts of the buds, as they sit in the bag.
Once the buds are dried in the bags, I jar them for curing, burping once a day for a few minutes to let moisture release.

Trim wet...

That's really good idea

No fans. It makes them turn an ugly color. A small dehumidifier on a timer can be helpful.

No fan at all? Plus i cant get a dehumidifier.

Im running my fan now, indirectly near the buds, couple feet parallel, not at allblowing on them. Also their hanging in the middle of a bedroom, so lots of space

You need a humidifier not a dehumidifier.

Ok have no idea what this guy is talking about^....but a fan is absolutely fine and doesn't change the color lol..you want the fan blowing at a nearby wall or something not blowing on the buds just circulating the room

Hopefully that guy meant dehu not a humidifier which is unnecessary but won't hurt...if you read my reply about the fan I specifically say point it at a wall or away from the buds, the point is air circulation not a blow dry..i'm not condoning blowing a fan at your drying nugs but no air movement is also no good

here guy this is my best set up works great for me

u get a 3x3x6 tent ............can be a cheapo (just needs a decent passive flap and a upper exhust for a 4 inch ducting
filter ......use this filter and a 4 inch booster fan .........this will controll the smell as it drys.....use like normal with a passive intake
this is the heart of it .........dry rack ........this one is 35 inchs the tent is 36 can not get any better

now u hang the rack in the center (if u use 4 teirs) it leaves room for u to put a fan at the bottom of the tent with a humidifier
this one .............it has a digital setting my house is around 29% during the winter so i set this in the tent at 35% where the buds are drying i have a meter there and it reads from 45 to 53%...........if u set it on low output u need to add water once every 48 hours to keep it going

now clipping ........start at the bottom and clip off the off shots trim down the fan leaves and leave alittle stem on it place in rack do this all the way around when u get to the flowers tight on branch u clip little under it taken the whole branch then trim down the fan leaves and leave the buds on the branch lay it on the rack .........do this to the whole thing

now time with this set up i am getting great drys with in 7 to 9 days (depends on how thick the buds are) when it is trim down time i wear gloves.........u go around cliping all the leaves off ......and when it is time to put in the jars u clip off as much as the stem as u can (with leaving the bud looking pretty) the little bit left will supply the last bit of water to the buds while it is in the jars so they are not as dry as they were when u trimmed them

from there u just burp the jars every 48/72 hours for the frist 2 weeks for 20 mins (leave the lids off) after that u only need to open them up once a week for the next 4 weeks maximum and u have dried cured your buds

3 things to advoid
1 light it will degrade thc .............dry and storage u want in a dark place with no light
2 temps abouve 80 f.........degrades thc
3 humitidy your goldn zone is 50% 40-60% is the safe area.............too low they dry to fast and taste little off to wet and chance of mold getting attached
