First time hydro grower. Need advice on strain.

Im growing for the first time and need some advice. I was given a stealth hydro cabinet by a friend as was wondering what strain I should try to get the best yeild. Im growing for medical reasons and want to make sure I choose the right strain for pain management. I don't want to continually grow so I want to get the best yeild I can.

Look at getting clones. Really its hard to say what strain is best unless your planning on buying seeds from a seed-bank. Bagseed is fine for experiments but you could end up wasting a ton of time and find you got a male or two. Hydro grows alot faster but it takes alot of attention to get it right. When things go bad they go bad fast. I have a cab I got from stealthyhydro and based on what I smoke now I won't get enough from micro growing to support a two ounce a month habit. Now I am going to relegate my first cab to strictly vegging and am building another larger cab (3'x20"x16" versus 5'x3'x2.5'). It will probably take a year or so to get a continuous grow going but if I lose anything even with the larger cab it will force me to go to collectives. I will also mix in soil grows for backup.

Sorry got off track abit there but go for clones; focus on indica's or indica dominent hybrids. For serious pain management indo is tops. For fun and energy sativa's are the best but tend to be harder for indoor growing in tight spaces.

Reach for the Indica side of the spectrum (like Kushes and Afghani mixes etc.) for pain management and compatibility with prescription meds.
The other advice I'd have is *research the breeder*. I would personally avoid Nirvana, GreenHouse, Barneys farm and Dutch Passion ... I've read too many complaints about lousy product. Cali Connection has nice Kushes but a reputation (which i have not at this time tested) for hermies.

with hydro u must have PPM/EC meter and PH meter. if u dont have both or one of them DONT do hydro because u have no buffer for mistakes. unlike soil. I love Hydro if i can find my cam i will show u my grow and it is afghan kush X Skunk and that is pretty good pain relief. u can look here for more info on strains http://www.leafly.com

I got a collective near me with some afgan kush clones for sale I want to grow so bad but lack space atm. My plants are flowering and I just want em done so I can try something else.
