First time in soil - - slow slow slow

Hey yall

I have 4 WW, 4 weeks old. 3 are in 1 gal pots with FFOF w/dolomite lime. 1 is hydro.

My girls in soil only have 3 nodes. One of them only has 2 nodes and is like an inch tall. The other two are about 1.5" tall. Fan leaves are very tiny. Like I said, they are about 4 weeks old, I don't think this is normal after looking at other threads, but I heard that soil is alot slower than hydro so I am not sure. Girl in dwc is 4" and working on its 6th node. Its about 3x the size of my soil counterparts.

I have experience in hydro, but first time in soil.

I only have one grow tent, and am currently flowering another plant in it with 600W HPS. I put the WW in the tent for the 12 hours, then afterwards I put them under really weak (3x 18W) CFL for 6 hrs. I am contributing this to the reason they arent growing as fast but still...I was expecting alot more growth than what I am currently seeing.

I water every 3 days with ro water, no nutes. Should I start incorporating the feeding schedule? Reason I havent fed with nuted water is because I thought ocean forest was nute rich.

Your right soil is slower than hydro, in hydro every where the roots grow they have food and water.

thx buddy. I now realize this was kinda dumb question Im just gonna start feeding with waterings every other time. I havent seen any nute burn in ffof and i put them in there since seedlings so heres to hoping everything will go ok

be careful not to over water. use the weight of the pot method to know when to water.
or get a moisture meter, there dirt cheap to test the soils moisture.

FFOF has nutes to last you 3+ weeks. Let your soil dry out a bit more before watering again. PH around 6.8. I recently fired my outdoor greenhouse up after years of it sitting dormant. Been in love with my ebb and grow bucket system with some amazing results. SOil growers who have never done hydro def dont know what theyre missing out on. Yup.. dont miss soil at all .
