first time indoor grow with cfls looking for advice

Will post pics in a bit but my current setup is a Rubbermaid storage tub with four plants in it under 4 23wat 6500k cfls and plan to flower under 4 26 watt cfls gonna top one of the plants in the bigger pots and than lst the other three of course pull and males i see.. Was wondering when i should flower these bcuz space js an issue

You a lot more light than that for 4 plants with CFL's.

What size is your rubbermaid and what strain are you running?

Well I'll add more lights if all four are female... But its just some fruity smelly nuggatory.. The container is 37gallons..any advice when to flower... How many more lights you thinkin

Don't quote me on any of this since I am not that experienced(still in first grow). Well its hard to say when to flower exactly in terms of time. Remember plants can double and even triple in size during flowering. So wait till your plants are a 1/3 to 1/2 of your max size allowance and then flower them. If you are pressed for space you can always add another rubber maid on top of your current one.

If you are going to lst you should finish all of your low stress training before you flower. You can technically lst during flowering but you have to be way more gentle cause the stems tend to snap easier during flowering.

I would double your lights and if your pressed for cash just use the 6500k and the 2700ks together throughout. They say its not optimal but 8 lights is better than four.

Check out the journal from allen bud. he's got some sick strains and doing great with only around 205watts CFL in 3x4x4.
Definitely do some supercropping, or topping with LST.

You can check out my grow on the bottom, but this was basically my first grow so I didn't learn about cropping until it was too late. Allen bud has a link in my journal too. One of the best cfl grows i've seen. If I were you I'd grab 3 42-55watt 2700k and a 6500k for the flowering, and don't veg for too long since your limited on space. Keep the bulbs 1-2" from the plants too! Something I wasn't able to do with my current grow. Can't wait till them bishes are done so I can make some revisions and have a sexy ass canopy. 23watts are nice since they're cheap, but you'll need twice as many.

what am i lookin at for results ifi flower under these lights i have now ?

I'm a first time grower too and using a 150w CFL PlugnGrow blue/white lamp in a smallish grow tent. Gives out quite a bit of light and I also have the red equivalent for the flowering period. I have them around 5-6 ins from plants.
My plants are doing OK at the mo, just going into the veg stage and growing nodes and new leaves every day. Using Formulex and also a watered down organic food once a week each.The the plants are of a shorter variety, so was hoping I will not have to buy extra lighting. What do any of u guys reckon without actually seeing the plants.

Light is just one of many variables that will determine yield. There are many things you can do to increase yield.
Longer veg will increase yield so will LST/topping, large pots, more lights etc. There are a ton of things you can do to get that number up.
Your strain will also play a part in how much you yield.
First grow your gonna make mistakes so an oz per plant is a good goal but you could probably get 2-3 ounces if everything goes well.

i want to add 4 more lights and get those 50 watters for flowering so i got time i can still veg these under these 6500k for a little bit ... how much do them 42 and 50 watt 2700k liughts go for
tryin to get atleast 4...so ill have 8 lights on the lid of the tub i think that willl be enough.... correct me if im wrong but i top after the 5th node and leave 2 nodes left in order to get four colas and lst i got time to veg for a few more weeks

Well ladies and gents we got four females.... I grew two of them too big and are way too big for my box.... I tossed a screen ontop the two big plants so they dont touch the lights idk what I can do.... I guess my first pics didn't post....ill try to post some current ones
