im really concerned about fan noise. how loud are inline fans, a dull roar or too much to sleep with? smell isnt a huge concern but it would be nice to have odor control. i was looking at this ONA-GEL PRO stuff and other carbon based odor obsorbing products that i use with my cats litter box, the stuff works great for pet smells but idk about pot. smell isnt a huge concern, but i dont want my clothes smell like dank nugget when i go to school and work lol.

Seeds don't always all germinate, easier to cull before you plant. Depends on the fans, mine are about as loud as a desk fan altogether. A DIY carbon filter is easy to make and can be made to look like most anything.

the napkin holds moisture that the seeds need to crack..

and as far as the fan goes, there are some super quiet inline fans out there if you got the coin..
but if thats not enough then they also sell mufflers for your ducting

i think im going to do a 9 35w floros, as sad as it sounds, i dont have room for a ballast. i would need less fans this way too.

im just gonna go to home depot and get a bunch of cheap light bulb sockets screw a hole in the top and fit them in there
i did a floro grow once on my first grow, i started too late outdoors and brought her inside to finish flowering and it wasnt too bad, so im sure if i use better floros and more of them, it should be much better.

no worries on the cfl's i seen alot of good grows.. just use the right spectrum and a whole shit load of them all around your plant

yea theres 2 different spectrum's i know that. i think 9 will be plent, 9x35w is 315w. not sure if thats the real wattage tho or the advertised wattage. if its not ill get a couple floro light bars from the hard ware store. ill keep you guys posted. and if it sucks i can always just buy hps... these floros shouldnt be more than 70 bucks all together.

9 of them will probably do the job.. and at a fraction of what an hid would cost..

im thinking 9 might bee too many and a little of a fire hazard lol, ill go with 6 for now. ive got a couple floro light bars and one 13w CFL right now on my seedlings ill put in the box also.
i got the door cut out today. i get paid friday so ill go buy a handsaw and cut out those metal pieces, paint it white and attach the door. i already cleaned it out with bleach water and a hose, let it sit in the sun for an afternoon to dry..
progress is slow but sure on the box. my sprouts on the other hand are forming their 3rd true set of leaves. theyre on an 18-6 schedule on a couple of floro light bars, some plant lights and a 13w cfl in a tiny white box, perfect for the seedlings.

Main thing about the floros is keep them as close as possible, the light intensity dissipates quickly over just a few inches.

how are you going to do your lights? are you going to hardwire them or use the power strip and socket-plug? i personally like the hardwire with a switch but its also a little more expensive but not much.

i WAS just gonna use the power strip and socket plug. im not that mechanically inclined, its probably not hard i just have no clue where to begin. safer for me that way.
***the reason i say WAS is because one guy i know got raided, 20 clones, mothers and some flowering ladies, a secret room in his basement. they knocked on his door saying "are you so and so? we're here for your pot plants" dropped four felonies on him
and one of my "friends" got busted and is ratting people out, he got coke/pot charges and DUI and is flipping, one of my friends is getting raided very soon and is moving out of state lol. im scared and deciding to lay low for a month or two guys. sorry.
