First time indoor grower...please read and comment!!

First off...this website is awesome. In the spring my friend and I just planted 6 seeds out of a bag of some chatt town brown...(25$ a quarter...ya....) so all we did alllll summer was give them water, out of the 6 we got to grow 4 were males...off the 2 females we got to harvest and cure we got 2 ounces...not bad at all for a total of 3$ for the water bottles and the 5 and a half months they took to grow..but i got a house now at school..time to go indoor..

Our setup is going to be in the basement of the house..its unfinished, so dirt base. First off would you suggest a tent or build a box for this environment..and i guess after i figure this part out move on to lights? anybody and everybody please comment on this..i figure this indoor growing is going to be alot harder...so suggestions and comments are welcome..

im lighting a jay as I post this..so any humor is also appreciated..haha thanks!

your basement is dirt that is some ghetto stuff! I would say lay down some cinderblocks or stepping stones and just put 8 plants under as many 1000w's as you can fit under each just practice FIMM, SuperCrop and LST methods to get the fattest yields. I would bleach the walls or something first

Well, you are going to be facing more than normal problems with bugs and possibly moisture. I would recommend some sort of tent but that may not help with the flying bugs as they are going to be able to get in through the fan vents. Be careful that you dont have light seeping out of the basement at night either, it might look really suspicious.

I have a dirt cellar also and in my opinion it is WAY to humid down there to start a grow. You might not have this humidity problem in your area, but it might be a good/better idea to find a small to mid sized closet to keep your plants in.

Best of luck!
