First time ive fed! Any help?

i have MG plant food and i just put 1/4 the recommended dose, i used a quart bottle filled with water and 5 drops of the food, it said use 10 to 20 drops per qt. i poked a hole in a bottle and sprinkled over the leaves and pot like its rainiing, i didnt soak them, but they got a good feeding, is it okay to feed this way? help? comments?

I can only suggest getting something better for you and your plants than MG. I don't even use that shit on my tomatoes.

Hey there fella, its a mad old thing on here when someone says about mg' i gess i was that way at the start but the people who make the stuff know what they are doing and what plants need, so why do everyone hate the stuff??
I surf the web alot and i come across loads and loads of posts saying how much mg to use on seeds,clones,etc.. and they dont have any probs with it so again why dont they like the stuff??? lol
I used it on my first grow and it made my plant grow well and didnt kill it? i do know that when ive read about it they say to only use alittle of it and you'll be just fine, or are the ones who have try'ed it fucked up and just blamed the mg? (you know what i mean)
If your gonna use it dont use much and keep an eye on them just incase you think that your putting only alittle in and its not' thats the only advice i can say on the mg thing LOL scunk

MG is just fine for growing cannabis. The haters are just folks that have little or no actually working knowledge of nutrients. Plus it does not have a cool name like Bud Candy or Sensi Bloom. The so callled cannabis specific nutes are the biggest scam since Jesus......

You get out of it what you put into it. Why anyone would skimp on food for your plants is beyond me.

Is it bad? Not really. Is it the best you could do for your plants? Not even close. It's like feeding cheap dog food to your pet. Some do it but I buy my dogs the good stuff.

At the end of the day, even the over priced nutes are pennies under the bridge at harvest.

I have used MG potting soil since ive started growing, and everytime ive ever grew from seed or germination they have all started beautifully. im just curious about if i overfeed today or not, because ive had the same potting soil since they were born(ive used the same soil from a small pot to when i transplanted to larger pots) and they seem to be doin alright but i used the liquid food today, where should i apply it because i diluted it with water, like 5 drops in a qt an 1.8 fl oz, and i sprinkled over the leaves and pot like it was raining kind of misting it, was this wrong, or what would you guys recommend on how to feed?

The plants don't know the difference between organic and chemical or MG and AN. Nitrogen for example always gets broken down into Nitrate or Ammonium. Of the two, Cannabis prefers Nitrate, but can use either one. Chemicals are a bit tricker to use because if they are really pure it's easy to burn the plants. In some soils, especially those high in sand, the nitrogen flows past the root zone and ends up going deep into the ground where the plant can't get it. This is called leeching and can be dangerous if it ends up in the ground water.

MG is fine to use; however it's still important to pay attention to the NPK of your fertilizers, do periodic soil tests so see what's being used up, and to monitor your plants.

yeah, my soil NPK is 0.21-0.07-0.14 and my plantfood is 8-7-6 and i used 1/4 recommended dose in a quart and sprinkled will that work? or did i over do it?

Theres a spoon thing that comes with mg all purpose i think its a 1.2 or something anyway its for houseplants and yes i know mj isn't an house plant but its a good guide for keeping the nutes down low not to burn' (someone jump in here if im wrong) and yes i understand what bendbrewer said' but if u took the lable off it and put it in one of them tests where they are in tubes with no names then you used it and it turned out as mg then, and it do happen coz people are stunned when they know what it was.
Im not saying thats the case here but how do anyone really know whats in there apart from what everyone tells us so we go out and get the best money can buy, fuck me im one of them untill i started thinking about how well just loads of compost can grow a fine plant or two.

If your going to make it rain.. just make sure you dont do it under HPS lighting .. can burn your leaves .. But otherwise.. all should be good... I buy good nutes because I can afford too.. but If i couldnt .. I would use miracle grow in a heart beat.. it works just fine.. my outdoor last year had MG.. no problems at all.. just because its expensive doesn't always make it better. I think u'll be fine with that feed amount.. just increase very slowly so you dont burn the girls.. .. GOOD LUCK on the grow bro!

haha yeah i fell that their are so many opinions on here, but i want facts. miracle appears to be a cheap, nice way to start and grow cannabis with, its worked for me so far. and since i fed today, how many days does it take to show nute burns? (if i overfed)

Sometime next day, only reson i know this is coz i bruned two plants the other day in a test i done, i fed about 6pm and by 2pm next day it hit the leaves hard lol

I always have different amounts.. But right now Im only doing indoor.. 2000 watts in a 8x4 tent.. Separate veg area.. only 8 in flower right now .. but I have been harvesting alot .. they all were finishing up over this last month .. I kinda do a perpetual grow.. everytime one finishes.. I replace it with another ..

Is having an tds or ec meter a must for growing in soil???

Just keep a good eye on them and you know if theres anything to worry about 2morrow.
