keep the plant in the shade and make sure it does not run out of water.
dont keep it too wet but whenever it drys out, water it and they should be fine.

and sativa plants love the heat they will do much better than indicas. indicas are more used to a cool climate.

Apply Mulch a few times thru season and water weekly at least 3 litres each plant. Raise seedlings indoor.

For holding water check out a product called Zeba (Like the animal but no R) It's all natural and has good reviews. 1 lb runs about $21 on Amazon, considering you're in AZ you'll prob need to use more than normal. I'd say 1 lb will do ya for 3-4 plants depending on pot/ hole size.

If you're planting in a pot maybe consider a smart pot as they are supposed to keep the roots cooler.

Hey guys, I'm a first time grower, as well, and I'm growing outside too.
Wanted to ask, do I HAVE to add fertilizers to the plants? I'd like to let my plants grow as naturally as possible, that would bring the suspicions down.
You see my parents know I planted it, but they don't know I smoke it or anything. I told my moms I was curious on how the plant looked and also that I wanted to experiment growing something.
So, can I do it naturally?
