I didn't start dabbling with LST until my second or third grow. First one, I was too anxious about even touching the plants and potentially doing something dumb. When I did start, I was a little too eager and probably started too early in the grow. Nowadays, I don't really start training until they're a good 10" or so, at least 5 or 6 nodes tall. When I did it as early as you, I'd always end up with really short plants with leaves constantly laying on the soil and getting in the way of watering. Might wanna give them some more time before training next round, that way you'll create a bit more room to work, your tops will be less crowded together and you're less likely to have micro-climates develop within the plant.
