first time undercurrent

Ok so everything has been going good in the undercurrent but I hit week 5 and had ppm up to 700. My buddy says he never goes higher then 600 in flowrr ever. So I put mine down to 600. I was getting burnt tips and ppm going up pH going down. Then I would add water n it will all level it self out. Now it being at 600 ppm and pH haven't moved pH 5.8. What way am I supposed to do this let it move n by me adding water ppm goes back down and pH up or the same

huh? i reread that twice you might wanna rephase it.. or maybe I'm not getting what your asking. i get you bumped it up to 600pm and get the ph hasn't moved... but what are you trying to find out

I'm trying to figure out if my ppm should be going down Or up in flower. when I was in veg ppm would go down pH up then in flower ppm was going up and pH down. he runs uc and says ppm supposed to keep going down pH going up. So I figured if it keeps going up with 700 maybe ppms are to high. I got ppms down to 600 ppm adding water But now it hasnt moved down or up. PH was 5.8 yesterday n today it's 5.9.

well lets say you start today at 600ppm tomorrow you top off fresh water check your ppm levels you should be dropping.. as your plants eat they pull the food out which drops the ppm level.

are you for certain topping CLEAN FRESH 0ppm water off in the resivor to the exact same point?

Yes the water level goes down with 700 ppm and when I add water it brings ppm down but I thought by water going down and ppm going up they were just drinking water

also your plants don't eat every day . they may chose not to eat and your ppm level hardly changes..

your ph is going to naturally swing.. your loosing nutrients waters being depleted..etc.. so your ph is going to change if nothing is being ate or depleted the ph isn't going to swing a lot in hydor

its been a few years since i ran hydro.. i don't run chemical lines anymore.. but it really depends on you i mean if your looking healthy and see no deficeny stick with what your running.. they don't require massive PPM levels to have a good harvest they require food water and healthy environment raising your ppm levels isn't going to benefit you.

that bing said i know people that run stupid PPM levels in flower (something i would never do)

explain this to me .. WHY WOULD WEAK FOOD STOP A PLANT FROM UPTAKING NUTRIENTS? does that make any sense? or does it make more sense if you noticed your plants were completely depleting 600ppm in a week, that the feed is too weak?

your plants are doing nothing but sitting in chemical water all dang day.. theres nothing weak about it.. they have ample food... i am always so lost on why people think weed is some miraculous rare redwood that requires all these special foods and nutrients.. its a plant...

Not giving enough of something could lock something out. Or am I misinformed. Coco at week 5 I'd be at least 900 ppm

you guys talking about EC? because ppm has 3 common conversion rates, depending on EC. meters measure EC, and then use one of those rates depending on model and manufacturer.

If ppm goes down and ph goes up, your plants are asking for more food. (The plants are taking up more food than water)
If ppm goes up and ph goes down, your plants are telling you they have too much food. (The plants are taking up more water than nutrients.)
If ppm and ph stay constant, your plants are eating equal amount of water and food.
