First time with led, looking for pointers

I set my hps aside this time to try an led grow. Bought two Hlg 550 eco (3000k) for a 4x8x7 tent. Got a little paranoid that they would not give me enough blue spec for veg so I also just bought two of the Bestva 1500w. My plan is to use those for veg and the Hlg for flower, or possibly all four for flower. Plus I plan to partition the tent in half for better coverage. Can anybody throw me some pointers or better ideas?

For starters I would return the Bestva 1500 watt lights if that is an option.

With the HLG550 Ecos, you started out really well. Like going from a stripped down high performance race car (Eco)to an old hooptie (Bestva) that you're not even sure will make it off the starting line.

If you're looking for higher color temperature boards, these will work very well for your veg space:

V1 are made with Lumiled Luxeon 2835 HE diodes.

V2 are made with Samsung LM301H diodes.

If you would rather have 3500k, those are in stock for both models as well. You will just need a driver, power cord, connectors, wire, a way to frame the boards if you desire, and a way to hang them. Not too difficult, if you have the time. Otherwise there Are other superior options to the Bestva lights you bought.

Wow they really stretched tho huh? I’m trying for shorter internode distance. More branches more buds. So I hear that more blue spe

i definitely hear what your saying but I have a friend that used them, for veg only mind you, and had really good results. That’s what led me to them. Also it’s worth noting that I only have 4 ladies that are tanning in this booth.

Dammit, HLG is tempting me again with these cheap "v1" boards.

OP, the above recommendation is solid. Can't get a much better deal if you're in the market for some extra light.

Personally, I would probably want to give the 550s a run on their own first, just to get a feel for them.

You think the Hlg all the way thru? Felt like I should seek more blue spec and also just let them chill til flower to preserve them.
