Re-did the lst'ing in a more effective way today. Also flipped the fan around so instead of blowing air at the plants, I repositioned the fan in front of the lights to suck the heat off and away from them. I noticed minor purpling on top of a couple stems..possibly the cold or needing phosphorous soon im guessing. Not on new growth..in the middle and seems to be from same nodes only. Just the top of the stem with slight purple spots. Main stem is fully green on both. Was wondering if anyone has input, how long should I leave the main cola tied to the side like this? Until the others catch up, then I release it?

So im not going to be using vinegar to lower the ph of water from now. Its likely not great for the microbes in the soil. I know my tap water is high..and the rain water I collected last weekend was ph 7, now its up to 8. Out of the tap its above 8. So I took the water from the tap, used a straw and blew bubbles into the water for a minute or two and I got the ph im looking for:)
Left is from the tap, right is after blowing bubbles into it.

Plants looked better today. Moved some of the ties around and pulled the AK main cola down some more. Also considering to maybe only give 16 hours of light rather than 18. I read countless articles about plants drooping prior to lights out...in my case it seems severe and its 3-4 hours before lights out. The countless articles I read say its normal..but I also read quite a few people saying, for autos, they went from 18/6 to 16/8, and no more drooping prior to lights out. I feel its pointless to have the lights on when for the last 3+ hours, the leaves are completely down! We'll see.

Leaves finally looking more like they should:) That crispy or papery look is gone. I fed at slightly less than quarter strength last time..wondering if I should up it slightly in next watering, or wait until the watering after to give one final dose of veg nute at half strength before starting flowering nute and molasses between flowering feeds.

Day 32, no change, plants are growing and looking healthy. I know the widow has irregular yellow patching...3 of those are from me damaging it by touching and while rotating container. I believe the others are prior ph issues...I think the vinegar was a no-no in first 2 main waterings. New growth is fine and widow hasn't reacted negatively this time to its feed on sunday:) Adjusted some ties and added 2 on the Ak this morning. Trying to get all the tops I can fast!:) Its why im anxious to start a 'regular' seed, I can make into something great without worrying about a 'time limit' to get it done:)

Day 33..pots feel quite light today..so will be watering tomorrow, will skip feed for this time. Will also spray with banana peel/egg shell solution. Added about an inch of worm castings compost as top soil today. Was checking to see how damp the soil was and I realized little fine hairs (roots) are visible on the top of the soil of the AK. When I initially filled the containers (4Gal), there was an inch of space from the top of container...but after each watering it went lower. Its why you see in the pics that there is about a 5 inch space from the top now. Added enough today to reach the bottom fan leaf on both. I didn't mix this with perlite, but since its only an inch on top, it shouldn't matter..I just wanted to cover any roots that may be exposed.

End of week 5. Temps are high today and tomorrow, above 90's, then back to 70's for the week, I misted them midday today with the banana peel/egg shell/Epsom salt solution. Not sure if the egg shells actually did anything to the solution as I was supposed to use vinegar prior to putting them in water to dissolve them. Either way, the main thing was the banana peel. It powdered quite well in the blender. Sprayed the soil as well, lightly. Not sure if it's the heat or the spray, but the little black flies..maybe a handful at most are gone lol. Plants are really perky in this heat, im surprised, wonder if the misting helped a bit.

My last post to this journal. Unfortunately im losing the plants. Seems you have to feed them every watering and a lot! Within 4 days since last pics...the widow has yellowed tremendously from bottom up and ak is following slower. Unfortunately they've been starved to near death it seems. I skipped one feed as I read to feed/water/feed. Plus I heard auto's don't need much food. Both things it seems I was misinformed. Feed from first watering next time and every watering till a week before harvest. I didn't expect to lose them to underfeeding so fast! The less is more didn't work for me this grow lol. No more of that nonsense next grow..more is better until it shows it doesn't want it..at least if you barely overfeed you still have the plants, you underfeed they die between waterings lol. Hopefully next grow goes better..feeding from first watering next time! This journal can be closed.

You can save them! Just flush them with regular water multiple times and check the pH of the soil.
Why would I flush when its starving? The ph isn't an issue, its 6.6ish. I fed them earlier today with half strength fert. Hoping they make it to harvest. The yellowing though came fast..i wonder if its because of the lights lol..I swapped half of them for 2700's on Saturday and plain watered..since sunday the yellowing picked up faster and now the past 2 days..the ones that were just a little yellow Tuesday are now completely yellow and 2 lowest ones are almost white. I guess the plant beginning to flower for over a week now, it needed a lot of feed..i gave it once and it was minimal..quarter strength max.

How can you tell the difference between nute lock-out and unfed? I gave it virtually no feeding..there is nothing to lock out lol. Plus again..ph is upper 6's. Why would anything be locked out?

Total was an ounce between the 2 plants. The smoke was very smooth, widow was stronger than the ak. Overall weaker than what im used to.
I have a regular going now..strain unknown..vegged for 45 days and now at the end of week 5 flowering today. Feeding better this time around, plant has been completely healthy from the start at least..but only slightly bigger than the auto's were. Topped twice, lst'd, and defoliated slightly at the beginning of flower. We'll see how it finishes up...still on cfl's..14, 23-watters over the one plant. Will switch to a 600 hps for next grow.
