first timer--anyone have feedback?

So I have decided, for logistical reasons, to wait until grow #2 to setup my grow room with an HID ballast.

I am way, way too busy right now to do all the neccesary changes and my partner is fucking the dog, so we will see how well I can grow with CFL only for my first grow.

I also don't want to drop another 300 on everything I need, with no real guarentee I will get a yield worthy of such a stupendous investment. Not to mention the cost of inline fans and carbon scrubbers.

Once I have this grow under my belt, I will get some good genetics and then raise those under HID. So that's the plan, final copy, send it to the fuckin presses the shit is ready!

And I am high as hell on some bomb as nugs!

Well, what do ya'll think of the plan??

Week 3.5 of Flowering

Ok people here they are! i gave you some big shots of my two bushes. #2 is the one with the supercropped top. If you look closely, you can see it.

The plants look a bit scraggly and all stretched out. I think they just need more light. Oh well. This is more of a test run than anything, for bigger and better things to come!

Regardless, I do have some nice, fruity smelling goodness growing away! If I touch the stem (never the buds) and then smell my finger, it is like sweet fruity heaven! And the stems are sticky as shit, so I can only imagine how good the weed will be when all is said and done!

I watered them again today, giving them each 1.5 gallons of my "soup."

1 tablespoon tiger bloom
4 tablespoons big bloom
1/2 teaspoon beastie bloom
1 tablespoon grow big
1 drop superthrive
ph up

My ph has slipped down to about 6.1 or so and i am worried about potential nute lockout. So, I added a ph adjuster. note, all the above amount are per gallon of water.

So my next feed in about 4 or 5 days will be just straight water plus a tablespoon of clearex per gallon. i am hoping a flush will help stabilize the ph. How often do you guys water for your 4 gallon containers? Does once every four or five days sound right?

Well as always, feedback is encouraged and appreciated! Big up to Winkdogg as always for his help! Stay safe an grow big!! :leaf:

thanks Gypsy!

the girls are continuing to swell almost daily. i can notice their growth just about every night. the entire plant (#1 and #2 at least) is budding from every nook and cranny!

i am transplanting #3 and #4 tomorrow, and watering them with no nutes, just clearex. hopefully i can raise my ph a little that way. my plants still look really happy. some leaves dry up and die off in the very interior of the plant where they get little light, but other than that, no issues in terms of signs of problems. well let me know what you think!

Thanks for posting them wink!

Ok, so these are pics of 3 and 4. They are quite a bit behind as you can see. #3 is the tallest one that looks all stretched out. Nonetheless, hopefully they produce a little something!

The other shots are of all 4 in the tub right after watering. I think I could have a gnat or fruit fly problem. There are about 10 of them, little tiny dark colored flying things. No damage noticed to any plants though, so I dunno wtf they are up to...

I think #1 and 2 are about 4 weeks away from starting the flush...just a guess though. Some of the trichs are starting to turn a bit cloudy. About 10% I would guess.

Thanks yellers! Congrats on your girls!

Well whatever feedback anyone has is appreciated. People seem to have quit giving me advice. Is that because I don't need it, or I am beyond help? :-) ;-) :leaf:

My grandma was a die-hard gardener. She told me ladybugs only eat aphids. Whether this is true or not, i dont know. However, i dont think it would hurt anything at all to order them at this point. Weird? I am not sure what ya mean by weird.

I dont know what kind mine are. They are little flying things, about the size of a mosquito but not as big of appendages (arms and legs).

i meant wierd cuz its 30 degrees outside ...
they eat small soft bodied inscets, aphids are one of em :)
If the LEO's are monitoring ladybug shipments, I think we're all fucked :-)

So I am pretty positive I have larval gnats. I need to find a place that sells gnatrol according to the reading I have done. What's worse, the infestation is seemingly intensified since yesterday even, so I think the little fuckers are hatching left and right.

Two fan leaves have yellowed and died right on top on plant #1. I don't know if its related, but I am stressin!

I understand what you mean about the advice tapering off some, it seems like that over here too, with both me and my roommate. Its all good tho and everyone has been a HUGE help:clap:

Sux about your bugs! I've had them almost from day one. I have kept them under control, but can't get rid of them for nothin'. I got the yellow, sticky cards now and keep them right on top of the soil. They haven't seem to cause any damage but they definitely suck:wall:

Keep posted!!!!!
