Hey this is my first thread on rollitup, and from what I've read from most threads have been outstanding tips for a first timer such as myself. Few questions though.. I germinated my seed in paper towels and introduced it to soil May 8th. May 11th it began sprouting..so from breaking soil it is only 20 days old as of right now. When should I trigger 12/12 and whats the best way to restrict height? I'm working with only about a 3 foot height capacity. I'll attach some pictures(shitty camera sorry) so you can see what I am looking at currently. Any feedback/critiques ect. would be GREATLY appreciated.

PS. It is at about 5 inches in height and is alternating nodes.

Thanks dude, I'm just working with minimal height so I need some tips on how to maintain height and when exactly to start 12/12. I'm beginning to see what looks to be pre flowers but I'm not quite sure.

Looks Indica so it shouldn't get too big when you 12/12 and it will show flowers fast so you won't have to worry about that. I'd say top her at a foot and flower.

I dont think that plants ready for flowering, not for a couple more weeks. If you want it to be low that doesnt mean you automatically have to flower early, you can do a method called LST. Search it on the forums. Keeps your plant low.

thanks for the help. any recommendations on lighting schedule? currently I'm running 24/7 through veg. and when it comes time to flowering should i jump straight to 12/12 or try 18/6 then gradually decrease light time?

I was thinking of bending or I saw something on bending it around the rim of the pot in kind of a spiral. Anyone ever try something like that? It's extremely healthy I just don't want to try something too extravagant and risk stressing it. Let alone kill it.

I was watching a grow dvd and it said something about not switching to a flowering schedule at minimum till 6 weeks after they were planted to allow for full maturity... could be wrong but i'd wait till that time, and topping will keep the height in check. I am running 4 x 100 W CFL's but for germination I had a heating pad underneath to keep the soil warm (70-75) while the above air is a little cooler in the low 70's high 60's if you can
