So five days ago I germ 5 LSD fem, 5 vannila Kush fem, 5 pineapple chunk fem, 3 Jack 33 fem, 2 big red fem and 10 reg big bud in peat pellets. Everything seems to be going well so far. However i have noticed that the tap root of some has mad its way out of the pellet. Is this a bad thing? I have read that they should not be exposed to direct light. Should i re plant in bigger pots already? And if this is the case is it to early to use a good organic potting soil that will feed them until they go outside in june? Any advice is welcome. I will be starting a journal soon

Your strain choices are all very nice, my friend. You are correct that the roots should not be exposed to air or light. Once the roots have outgrown their peat pellet, you should move them into a bigger pot using an organic soil such as FoxFarm Ocean Forest until you move them outside. So far, everything looks good tho. Good luck!

yes re-pot them...but its not a big deal if u wait a little while longer. air pruning roots is not a bad thing. yes the tip of the rood will die when it hits the light...but what u dont see inside the pellet is that root will branch off inside the pellet causing it to grow more roots. more roots = healthier bigger stronger plant. i personally like to leave my seedlings/clones in the pellet untill i see multiple roots poking through.it seem to really speed the rooting/vegg process up conciderably
