Hey there, first timer here, thought id give a run down and see what you experts reckon. 1.5mx1.5mx2m tent, air/temp exhaust fan with carbon filter, 2x 600w lights and 1 tall standing fan.All seeds are randoms i got off a friend. 5 big ones are approx 10weeks old and all little ones are 2 weeks. Big ones were in veg for 2weeks in tent before flip, the day i flipped i put germed seeds to give 12/12 from seed a go aswell, 2 weeks into 12/12, fed veg nutes to big plants 1week into flower(all big ones preflowered) and little ones plain water. Now feeding bloom nutes. Feeding schedule at present Mon-bloom nutes wed-calmag water brew fri or sat- plain water. Had trouble with spider mites and calcium mag deficiency(i think early on) but now under control. Bigger ones looking okay but to me quite small buds. Before flipped pincged all lower budsites etc and again 4days ago(not sure if meant to do this in flower?) In NZ we are coming into summer, have lights on during day so when lights off overnight it can shift heat better. What you guys think yeild wise or how they looking? Bit hard to get photos for some reason. Cheers guys

Oh big ones are in 30l pots with a 20% compost 20-25% coco and rest premium strawberry potting mix, small ones are just premium potting mix with coco that was around roots from PB bags

Try to do most of your pinching and training during veg. Also consider watering not on a schedule but when the pots are really light. Also you can have great luck feeding every time you water providing you allow 20% runoff, no need to ever give plain water imo.

Awesome cheers for that. Wasnt sure if id over do nutes, i feed reasonably slow waiting for water to come out of bottom and is dried up in a day with the next 24hrs drying soil up. Cheers for that

The theory behind 20% runoff is so if nutrients were left in your soil from the last watering, it will “flush” them out. Leaving you with a stable root zone. It is a well trusted method used buy large scale hydroponic tomato growers. If you don’t have enough runoff and are not experienced in reading what the plant is telling you, you will be into problems eventually with toxic levels of nutrients in the root zone.
If I were you and were feeding nutrients the whole time anyway I would buy a nutrient free potting mix or coco or whatever you like plus perlite. This way you can watch what different strength feeds do to your plants. Nothing wrong with compost or amended soil it’s just choose 1 or the other to start in my opinion.

Oh right, well makes sense i might try next round, quite challenging at times being bit inexperienced but bloody cool learning watching it unfold. If i can make it till chop time i will be happy, would like to know thoughts on next round, have germed 10 seeds today in the hope of having 5 females, my pull date is(what i guess) is middle january giving me 6weeks to grow seedlings and try do 5-6 big plants and utilize my space abit more? Or does it look okay how it is
