The bulbs all have their own ballasts and with 11 in it's only pulling 99w so just a regular 14/2 cord is good enough. I had a damaged extension cord handy so just cut a dozen feet off that had the male plug end. That is awesome!
I have a question about the wiring, though... are those all wired into one heavy duty cord? Does this setup need a ballast? I'm a little confused about the wiring aspect and don't want to burn down my house lol.
Simple enough to wire up. Just connect all the blacks to each other, same with the whites and I screwed the ground wire to the back of one fixture which is all it needs as everything is held together with metal so it's all grounded.
Not impressed with the amount of growth it promotes. They don't seem to make the LED bulbs in a higher temperature rating than 5000K so there's not enough blue light for my liking. 6400K would be better like the CFL bulbs I use for clones and seedlings. I switched to my 400w MH and now have all sorts of new healthy growth.
I'm starting a bunch of new plants and will use my old bank of 4' - T12s to get them going as it has 6500K tubes.
