also, incandescent and black lights are dangerous to fishes vision. stick to flourescent or the same lights we use to grow. Fish are people too! ...sorta. Oddly, less light - the better off you are. Too much light can increase stress and cause algae outbreaks.

Used to do alot of freshwater but it was the typical oscar and other south american chiclid breeding. Im all about the reptiles now lol. Still have a jack dempsey but thats all anymore. Thats quite the impressive setup.

We used to have a bearded dragon and leapord gecko as well. We've wanted to get a monitor, but space is limited. But overall, a large saltwater tank would be awesome. Just too expensive at this time.

Thanks guys! I've got a Electric Blue Jack Dempsey also. Very personable fish. Loves having a cave to build and adjust to his liking.

just use a net i guess.

they are actually an invasive species around my area. every time we go diving we kill any lion fish around. they are good eating if you can get around the spines.

welcome to my... 'tank'

this little guy lived in the floor space of a crashed ww2 japaneese bomber... it was a Betty Bomber

I wigged into the cockpit, and through all the fish, and found some broken floor, and crawled into it, and looked upside down, saw this guy... and put it on macro... he was a cool little guy, stood still for me. Had a nice little family too

Amazing how life goes on... bet the japaneese guy who went down on the plane in ww2 shot down by americans probably didn't consider how americans might be scuba diving on it to see it in 60 years..

It just goes to show you can't even IMAGINE lifes plan. And Irony i suppose!
