Has anyone grew weed hydroponicly over a fish tank as simple as a goldfish tank or other simple type tank. would the plants respond well to have an ecosystem around the and having the nutrients of fish emultion?

Well, fish shit is loaded with ammonia...so I wouldnt try it. I like to use dark resivoirs so you dont have to worry about algea growing.

yeah but couldnt you just have a fish that cleans algea and maintain the tank.

is fish emultion not a good nutrient?

Maintaining proper nutrient and ph levels for you plant would kill the fish, to keep the fish alive it would kill your plant. Don't do something that will cost you money or your family pets.

your nitrates from the fish would probibly sky rocket and kill the plant. as far as growing in a tank without fish in it, that would probibly work aslong as your res. is big enouph.

I'd personally buy a brand new one then wrap it in black tape. the reason i say brand new is because there isnt any existing bacteria or anything else that could effect the plant.
