Growing up in S Fla I played with Tarpon, Snook & Redfish alot.they sure are beautiful. Tarpon on a fly rod is a bucket list thing for me.
Never caught a poon over 100 lbs (unlike Billy Pate) on the fly, but the babys on a 7 wt are the coolest thing, all they do is jump.

Now you got me putting my little John boat in the mix with my new grow budget, lol.... got a set of oars and locks to buy and (Hopefully 2) deep cycle marine batteries so I can hit my secret little river for some spingtime Pike and SM Bass Trophies...Can't wait, It has been far too long...
