Got the little boat all ready, the electrics, lights, safety gear and had the engine tuned, new plugs and leads. It's mid winter here but will be posting some Aussie fishing pics soon

Dusting off the poles for tomorrow. Going to do some trolling, maybe a little casting. Craving some smoked trout.

Speaking of fish - this will make you ill if you like good food.
Took a trip down south last month & brought a cooler of fresh frozen Coho, Halibut, Scallops & Moose for the (down south) kids & grand babies.

From Alaska the cooler went to Kona (instead of our destination) and then to Memphis before I finally got a hold of it 5 days later at a 3rd rural airport..

You can bet your ass I'm making a claim on this one !!

2015 salmon season opens tomorrow on most of the rivers around here. The American, Sac(up to Red Bluff) and the Feather.

Usually around the opener, the guides are nailing them down there. Who knows this year my man.
I'm not expecting much tomorrow(on the feather) except a huge buzz last year opener sucked also. Fucking drought!
Can't wait till the barge hole opens up(jellys ferry)

Going up to my place today in northern Mi. Planning on torch lake tomorrow for atlantic salmon and lakers. Bear lake at night for rainbows.

Wife wanted to go run the boat today, we were there a hour or so, just when the water started to move, she was ready to go. Just caught 5 croakers, I turned them loose

They catch hella fish up there. My parents retired to Kenai & my sister rents out their cabin on the Kenai river, now that they have passed. I fished one time around Kenai & we caught some big ones. Thanks for the link bro.

I lost #2 about 3 hours ago! But I still caught one hell of a buzz! Lol
It's still way too early, because of the drought. Warm/low flows. It's really been f@cking with our river salmon seasons.
Good news though: Record amount of salmon just waiting to come up.

My buddy just came back from a fishing trip in Alaska. He bought a small freezer from Lowe's to put 175 pounds of fish in it.

He gave me some king salmon, halibut and lingcod. I've already grilled the salmon. But I can't wait to try the halibut. I'm thinking I should pan fry it or bake it. Maybe even do ceviche?
