FL HB49 / SB1140 - Florida bans Bongs/Pipes July 1st

starting July 1st smoking devices are now illegal in Florida. Anyone found in possession of a pipe two times (even if it has never been used) becomes a third degree felon. In Florida, this means you are permanently banned from voting.

Specifically the bill bans:
(a) Metal, wooden, acrylic, glass, stone, plastic, or ceramic pipes, with or without screens, permanent screens, hashish heads, or punctured metal bowls
(b) Water pipes.
(c) Carburetion tubes and devices.
(d) Chamber pipes.
(e) Carburetor pipes.
(f) Electric pipes.
(g) Air-driven pipes.
(h) Chillums.
(i) Bongs.
(j) Ice pipes or chillers.

What kind of crap is this? I was going to vacation down there but not now.:shock:
 
Fawk Florida.No chance in hell I'd go back to that shithole.I love the places but the police are a bit too much for my long haired scroungy ass.I am the guy they don't want in there state
 
lol bongs and cannabis literature have been illegal in canada since 1988......they dont enforce it obviously LOL
 
Sucks for the glass shops down here I wonder what their gonna do. Another reason I need to get the hell out asap. Doesn't mention anything about oil rigs but I'm sure it's banned also.

Definitely gonna avoid Florida from now on! I can't spend tourist dollars in a state that damned backwards and ignorant.

honestly though i dont know how well it will be enforced, there are 3 PIPE SHOPS in my city, infact theres bong shops all over the damn place even in small cities, all around canada and is been illegal since 1988

As long as we don't use the word "bong" or any other illegal reference, like roach clip or blunt wraps, it is that way here, smoke shops on every corner and it has been illegal forever.

yeah haha some of the shops call them "tobacco pipes, or novelty smoking items " and the store always has a teeny tiny sign saying
"these products are only sold to people over 18 and are for novelty or tobacco purposes" but ya gotta look REAL hard
 
just gives them more power in the courtroom i would think, on the streets i doubt much will change except for signage.
 
the cops are pricks here, fuck the meth and opiate problem lets enforce laws that can be stumbled upon instead of having to do actual police work

Florida - On Mar. 9, 2011 the Florida rules of Executive Clemency were toughened. Automatic restoration of civil rights and the ability to vote will no longer be granted for any offenses. All individuals convicted of any felony will now have to apply for executive clemency after a five year waiting period. Individuals who are convicted, or who have previously been convicted, of certain felonies such as murder, assault, child abuse, drug trafficking, arson, etc. are subject to a seven year waiting period and a clemency board hearing to determine whether or not the ability to vote will be restored.

Prior to the Mar. 9, 2011 rule change some individuals convicted of nonviolent felonies were re-enfranchised automatically by the Clemency Board upon completion of their full sentence, including payment of fines and fees.

According to the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition website (accessed Aug. 15, 2012), "If you were convicted of a felony in another state and had your civil rights restored before you became a Florida resident, you do not need to apply for RCR [restoration of civil rights] in Florida."
 
This is completely F$#ed! I live in swamp ass Florida and already having to keep shit on the super down low,now smoking utensils for tobacco purposes are becoming illegal now?Go figure,it Floriduh afterall,f$#ing retarded politicians!
