flat top buds

sometimes i get kolas that simply stop growing upwards. They grow outwards and thicker, but they stop growing lengthways and the kola ends up relatively short, with a flat top.
My best guess is that these kolas were simply too close to the light, and the heat has kind of sealed whatever growth nods exist there.
Any better guesses?

Pictures? Usually too close shows burn or chlorosis.

are you growing just one strain? because that may just be they way she grows!

That's actually perfectly normal for bud growth, especially with indica strains

thats the beauty of cannabis.. not every strain looks smells tastes or is as potent as the next.. same with structure . flowertime.. and with every grower and environment or different nutes.. can make the same exact clones look completely different.. its very crazy..
