flavored curing

i am 4 weeks into my flowering with amazing results. i'm havin an idea with my curing and curious if anyone else has done somrthing similiar. im gonna take a slice of pineapple and wrap it in a coffee filter and throw it in the center of my jar while its curing. hoping to get a great taste of pineapple all through the bud. anyone ever tried? im open to suggestions!

ive been tryin to figure this one out myself ? i thought of that but im not sure if that will work any other inputs on how to get flavor in the buds?

Better be borderline dehydrated or ur lookin at mold but it might work 24hrs in and like two days out another day in then maybe pull em out to dry again for a few days then back to curing I think it would give it a nice mellow flavor not too overwhelming.but like I said watch for mold

that sounds interesting i mean ive heard of putting orange peels in it but not pineapple tell us how this turns out im intrigued.but,(Moist Object+Closed Jar)=Humidity+Buds=MOLD!!!!
 
yea i was actually thinkin of puttin the pineapple in there a day in advance to dry a lil alone, and then puttin the bud in there with the fruit in the middle of it and rotate it all ocne a day and burping it about 4-6 times a day.
 
Truthfully, I think the pineapple will ADD moisture...which curing is meant to remove. I doubt you will taste the pineapple, but check often for signs of mold. Now...adding some dried MINT leaves might be interesting...

People used to put wine, Coke, Kool-Aid in their water pipes...blech. I guess Im old fashioned...I like weed that tastes like weed!

LOL you have no idea how much i've planned this. i've researched it alot and found nothing really of the sort. thinkin of the science behind it from drawing the moisture from the center out you would assume that the pineapple in the middle that is slighthly moist would run a nice sweet pineapple flovor through it.

i wouldent use the actuall fruit thoug id rather keep it safe and use the skin dry the skin separate then put with the buds in the jar shake 5-8 times a day allow burping 4-6 times a day maybe throwit in the freezer for a day?

adding the moisture is the objective. makin it go through the bud slowly. thus causing a longer cure time till its truely smoke ready. mold is one thing that will be looked for extremely closely.

yea but tooo much moisture n u got moldy buds that you have just wasted in a frivilous attempt to flavor it.
If you do do it then dont do it 2 all ur buds,and dont do it for the whole curing process maybe half or even a 3rd od the process just to detter from mold
 
yes that makes more sense. i'll do it half way through with decently dried pineapple. i think you're right about the high chances of mold. that shit does spred fast.

is there any other way u can put flavor into the plants as they grow , maybe flavor the water ? just tryin to get my knowledge up to par haha
