Was pretty damned buzzed yesterday while I was on the forum.....I most definitely see the humor now :)

For the OP, bad time to to be looking for new "business partners" considering the current clusterfuck that's going on in this state with the mmj program. I would suggest you stay safe and simply seek out some patients to become a caregiver for. There's definitely no shortage of patients that need a good reliable caregiver....

I do see the humor, honestly.

I am obviously a total noob, and didn't mean to ask a silly question. Nor did I mean to make anyone an accompolice to anything. I was honestly looking for guidance, and being new to this forum AND to medical marijuana, I just didn't stop to realize what the implications of answering my question were.

Was just excited to find a place to garner some knowledge and commune with like-minded folks, and in hindsight I regret even asking the question.

Hoping to get the hang of things soon. :) Rock on...

If it's any consolation, I would have no problem giving you some advice on this, but Flint is not in my neck of the woods. I've dealt with dispensaries in the past, but I've never ventured out to Flint for that reason (or any other reason :-)).

You'll find that the whole caregiver/patient relationship, what to charge patients for meds (if anything), and what to do with overages conversation is a bit of a hot topic around here, and can stir up some heated debate. There are a lot of grey areas in the Michigan Medical Marijuana Law, and this is one of them.

Your question was a perfectly legitimate one. Don't sweat it.

I think that you are SO correct.. many grey areas in this law, and this certainly is one of them. Which is kinda why I was looking for guidance in the first place... helping to make they shade of grey a llittle easier to see through, ya know? :) I will figure it all out though!

That's exactly what I am going to do, in fact. I love the idea of helping people without involving Big Pharma, and aren't sure how I feel about "Big Dispensary" yet anyway! Thank you so much for your input!! :)

To Date, the Act is JUST AS IT WAS IMPLEMENTED. but massive legislation is about to be pushed thru starting in Feb. their are a few Disp in Genesee county. the PA (Pros Att) is too busy fighting real crime like murder, rape, real drug trafficing, suicides, ect He dont care about people the smoke cannabis for health reasons. Keep your shit in line, and your ok.

their is a Farmers Market in Jackson and Genesee. More are coming soon as well. these are more in lines with the original act (no dispensary wording as the initiative would of failed if it included disp language).... But the farmers markets are direct transfers from Caregivers to Patiets, no 3rd party sales, which is essentially what the CoA has been asserting, and in many cases refuting things back to circut court or no issuing a judgement on. you CAN NOT SELL MARIJUANA in Michigan, you can only accepts a 'donations' for cost incured for the manufacture, process, and delivery of it. But to Sell pot, is Illegal.

Ya know, I was thinking of joining the MMMA a couple years back when I first got my recommendation. I went over to the site and read some member comments, and was absolutely floored by the bickering and drama that I saw. It was worse than RIU!!

I'd be willing to look at it again if some of the egos are in check.

I was on there and I seriously got a PM from one member that said that I should change my name. She said gladstoned makes it look like i use recreationally. I had to of had a dozen PM from her. I posted it on a thread, lol. It's on there now. Then she started questioning me whether I was a legal cardholder or not. She is out of her fucking mind. Several others PMd me and told me to ignore her, she's nice. lol. So it is difficult in that regard for sure, but we all have our issues. I still go on there because they have a ton of Michigan info. I sent my girlfriend down to the farmers market and I will tell you, that is by far - hands down, best place we have found. She got an ounce of Superbud that tested at 21.9%! It was cheap as fuck too. I will be down there myself soon. I since have heard the one in Flint is pretty good. I am interested in these places too, because there are a lot of people that want to talk about medical marijuana.

Which farmers market is that? I've been to one in Farmington Hills a couple times, but that was a while back. I bought a couple clones .... complete with spider mites. I've been battling the bastards ever since.

this is a touchy issue, people feel very near and dear to, but are scared out of their fucking minds any more.. You will always had drama and bickering on a site full of people with differing opinions. even when those people are all on board for the same forum.. IE Most members are Pts and Cg, but that doesnt mean we all see eye to eye.


Add in the Political aspect of being Pts and CG Activist forum, well you get the idea....


dont let the fact that the peas and carrots are fighting on the plate bother you. they are still on the same plate, and that plate is still fighting the dinner table....

for the most part, its pretty tame, but occasionally people do get pissed. as you can imagine.....

the nature of the site, political activism in the Medical Cannabis arena, brings with it the fodder.

Glad. I believe I replied to your thread on that. I put the same thread here on Perception, our own of us, and how that effects public perception, thus public opinion. It may of even of been my thread that persuaded that PM, but i dont know. what i Do know is the 3MA has over 7000 unique IP addresses a day coming to visit, and only 200 are registered members. that leave nearly 6800 non members a day. we KNOW LEO and Mi Legislators are on the site daily.

SO one must take that into context.... as i noted inyour post there about this issue. My gamer tag is Maj. Lee A. Stoner. its a GREAT Gamer tag, but not a great user name on a politically active website, that has State Legislation visiting daily.

I HONESTLY believe that was the reason for the PM. Perception of John Q. Public, and Legislation is Big and undeniable. I really think the idea of the pm was to hope you put some of that thought into it.

But then the person sending the PM didnt realize that is an actual name in the area where your at, so its easily understandable how it was mistaken as a cannabis misnomer of a name. Again, the site has many Politically Active people...so perception becomes a point of contention.

Alot to do. Info of a Great meeting last night in Hastings, with a local rep, including a local sitting Judge that in the last week, dismissed a case against the CoA ruling, because She said the law was very clear, and the defendant was very much with in the limits of the law. Case Dismissed.


Make those appointments and meetings. Get your face in the face of your local Legislator and Make them Tell you why you should be in jail instead of able to live free per 63% of the voters in Michigan....

I hear ya. Maybe it was just bad timing. It almost appeared surfing through comments that there were factions within the MMMA fighting. Like a power struggle or something. I don't know ..... it all seemed like too much drama for me.

I checked the site out earlier today. It looks like everyone is more on point now!

im not sure how it was a couple yrs ago, i found and joined last spring around the same time if found and joined RIU. when I made the Decision to step from the back ally and into the light, ie getting my card. I expected some what that i may become a target for doing it, but thats ok. I accept that. But I refuse to back down. ive made my choice, now i ll follow thru with it and assert my 1st Amendment Right.
