HIGH YALL :) so im looking for a little help with my babies, they seem to be acting trippy hopefully with the info i leave someone can shoot me a helpful blurb...thanks!
2012-01-29 21.10.11.jpgthese are my choice of nutes.

Jan 8th - started germ on 5 bubblicious autos by Nirvina and 1 lemon skunk
Jan 10th - everything popped, put all seeds into rockwool cubes that had been soaked in water(ph - 5.5/ppm-120) place the cubes into little 'cocktail' cups from zhers and surround them by lava rocks. Place cups into bath under two 6500k cfls - (ph-6ish - ppm 400ish)...later on around 630 pm(ph-5.1/ppm-400)...10pm(ph 5.4/ppm350ish)
2012-01-10 15.53.28.jpg2012-01-13 09.30.16.jpgthis is just a pic of what my pre-veg area looks like, an old microwave box lined in white.
Jan 11th - 1030 am (ph 7.5!!!/ppm400ish)5pm(ph-4.9/ ppm 480) 1130pm(ph 7...?ppm-400-500)
Jan 12th - 3 have poked their heads above ground the other 2 are slow starters ( ph-4.9-5.2/ppm300ish)
Jan13th - ph got above 7 again, ph down to 4.9ish...ppm 550ish....2 sprouts had roots out the bottom of its cube, nice bright white.
Jan14th - ph was up to 8, phdown to 5ish, ppm around 350
jan16th - I let my bath go too low and three of the 5 dried up and passed away...faaaaaaaack eh. moving on tho the other two are doing very well].
Jan 17th - fresh water added - two suvivors added to flood and drain system under 600w MH for about 2 weeks.2012-01-21 10.57.54.jpg
Jan 27th - changed light to HPS and changed rez with purfied water (ph about 6.6/ppmaround 400)
Jan28th - Germ 2 big bang autos(soaking 2 cubes in 6.0 ph and 120ppm water)2012-01-29 21.10.22.jpg
Jan29th - noticed issues - one plant has skinny leaves and the edged of the leaves are turning up slightly, the new growth at the top is brittle and yellowing and very skinny??? while the other all the leaves are short and fat and ruffling...you can see what i mean by the pics...its hard to tell they are the same strand...i don't understand because they are both in the same place with the same rez and same conditions....so i flushed my rez down to 260ppm and ph btw 6.0-6.5 because i thought it was nute burn or something...now im starting to think its inefficiencies because my ppm was so high throughout the beggining of their lives....??? ne-one agree or disagree?
2012-01-29 21.06.23.jpg2012-01-29 21.06.39.jpg2012-01-29 21.06.31.jpg2012-01-29 21.05.04.jpg2012-01-29 21.05.41.jpg2012-01-29 21.08.47.jpgthis is 600wHPS and autos.2012-01-29 21.09.05.jpgthis is my lemon skunk under a 400wMH
...so any ideas on my next step to sucess? any help would be appreciated. Thanks!! ill keep updateing as much as i can,

I'm a little late to reply but here is my 2 cents:

I can tell you right now that what you're seeing is either "Heat or Light" stress. Those girls are very small, and the HPS is most likely too close. Have it at least 3' away (That's for a 150 - 250HPS). If it's a 400W HPS it should be 4 - 5' away. Once the edges of the leaves flatten out you can start to move the light closer (an inch a day).

This is not my opinion, this is flat out from experiences I've seen from friends with medicinal grow permits. They have ALL run into this same issue. You can go 3 - 4 weeks under those CFL's. Taking a 2 week old plant and throwing it under an HPS that is a few feet away will cook it in no time.

So keep the HPS a good healthy distance away, and I'll bet you my bottom dollar they'll recover.

Thank you for sharing, keep us in the loop, and best of luck in both this and future grows!

One last thing . . . just noticed the fan that's pointed right at your plants. I hope the fan isn't running full time at that distance. You can literally
place that fan 4 - 6' away from the plants, run it 24/7 and have it directed a foot or two off target. They just need a light breeze. When you see
the leaves occasionally flutter (every 2 - 3 seconds) then you know you have it right. Anything more will over stress / dry out the plants.

Is this true? I've seen grows with plants literally shaking in the air. I've heard the hardest without breaking it is best, for the stem strength that is. Never heard of it getting stressed or drying out like that.

I was thinking about this the other day, I have some weird thin curly claw like growth, most likely absolutely nothing to do with the fan. But I do have an oscillating fan on all over the plants all the times the lights are on. I was always led to belive that it is good for them and strengthens the stalk up.

If it was too windy how would you tell, what would the effects be?
