WHAT???!!!! You can't do that. So don't. I've followed this for months with sensors reporting to the laptop charting constant reading of pH and PPM.Ok thanks guys now I gotta figure out how to stop the pH from fluctuating lol
What nutes are you using? Do you use RO water? If not, what is the ph and ppm of the water you use? Do you aerate your water, constantly or only during flooding? What media are you using? What schedule did you end up flooding on?I just did a res change and ph to 5.8 is it OK to keep adding earth juice ph down or up everyday I don't want it to mess with the plants. And do it till ph stays
This is where I would start...call CCH2O and tell them what is happening with the ph upswing. See if they have any suggestions. If not, make a post calling all CC nute users and see if anyone has experienced what you are. Other than that I can provide you some general info that may help. Your water starts off with a low ppm so the ph is easier to adjust. This also means it will fluctuate more. At higher PPM readings your water will have a more stable ph. Using a cal/mag product would raise your initial PPM and possibly help keep the ph more stable. Your water starts out at a high ph so it is possible that it is naturally trying to get back to where it started. How often are you in your garden, I mean how long between ph checkings? Is it going from 5.8 to 7 in a few hours, a few days? I believe it is pretty common to have to adjust ph every other day or so (I don't run big reservoirs though). If this change is happening over the course of a couple of days, you may just need to check it more often. It may be like commerce said and trying a different ph down product will help keep it under control as well. I stick with my first recommendation though, call the peeps at CC nutes and see if they have any suggestions. A ph over 7 for any length of time has a good chance of killing your plants. Let me know how it turns out.Current culture nutes, 15 min every hour and grow stones. Small boy filter and ph 9th before nutes n ppm 90 I also have three airstones near the pump that floods up
What Ph Up & Down brand are you using now?I ended up fixing the problem it was my earth juice ph up ph down. Also when I do res changes I run plain r.o water for 24hrs then add nutes and adjust my ph doesn't even move now on point
