flood and drain. need advise

so this is my set up i am building. and advise would be much appreciated. this will be under a SCROG with 8 G13 Purple lady plants or half and half with G13 white widow. and i'm thinkin bout using 5gal buckets in the tray instead of filling the whole tray with hydroton

looks good....try looking into coco fiber and coco pots...they work killer in a flood table...i just used the suction cups that came with the heater to stick it to the bottom of the resivoir so it is never out of water, no glass vile needed...

Looks like a good plan. I would definitly go with the pots since it gives you the ability to reposition your plants. Dont think you need 5 gallon thow. 2 gallon would be plenty. Not a big fan of the leds, but good luck with that.

The reason for the heater in the glass is to keep it from geting dry and breaking when there is no water in the rez, but like nick sain i could lay it flat in the bottom and it will stay wet (thanks nick) and the reason for 5gal buckets is i have alot of them already. But i'll look into the coco pots. cant be too much to get 8 of them.
And i decided 4 of the LEDs (maybe all depending on how big the moms get) will be in the cloning room.

The LED's are pointless against 600w hps's. Don't even bother with them.

..yeah this also......a couple 42w cfls in those corners would do a little more for you in the way of extra lighting...or go nothing at all...the leds are going to get washed out in the 600w light canopy...

every 1-2 weeks...the nutrient line i use has a specific schedual as to when to change my nutrient levels...yours might also check the manufacture website to find out..but i never go past 2 weeks without a flushing and res change....
