I've noticed a lag in ppm out compared to ppm in. A normal feeding (for me) might be 800ppm. The next I add molasses and it goes to 1100ppm. The next might be 1/4 strength nutes (my version of water only) at 300ppm. The runoff from that last one will be up around 1250. (I'm not recommending this strategy. It's just me trying things.).

No I just did a 20% runoff.. The plants look greener after the last feed though That's what I thought may be the case..

Did you test the runoff? Are you in soil by any chance? Didn't happen to have a super high PPM for the runoff the feed after you used FloraKleen did ya?

I test runoff and it was a little higher than what went in,i'm in coco

i will just ask my florakleen related quesiton here instead of opening a new thread..

I am at the end of week 3 flowering in coco slabs. Using the GHE 3 part according to instructions in ML (milliliters per 10L).
My top leaves got some mild nuteburn while the rest of the plant parts remained very light green (sort off underfed color).
I always watered without runoff sofar..
So i decided to run a florekleen with 20% runoff.. i captured the runoff and put it thorugh a coffee-paper-filter.
Then i mesured its ph, it was solid 6.0 so thats good, but the EC was 2.4 !! (1680 ppm) so thats way too high for week 3 flower. Obvious salt buildup..

The day after, i did another watering this time with ph'd water only untill 20% runoff.. runoff measured again = ph 6.0 and ec 2.2 (ppm 1540)

So here's the dillema.. if i continue to flush daily until i reach the desired ppm/ec the plants will probably die because = diversity of deficiencies will occur ( i can imagine that some elements flush easier out then others), but if i resume to my normal feeding the salt buildup will just come back asap.

What should i do? Continue flush with plain ph'd water, OR flush with a low nutriented water? Or go back to the original instructions?

I had similar issue, what I did was flushed once, if you have a two gallon pot you would usually run 4 gallons thru it, the ppm's went from 1775 to 825 I then let them dry out a little(I use the weight test) then gradually introduce nutes @ lower ppm then gradually go up, but I never go above 1400 ppms, some might go higher, works for me.just keep an eye on your ladies they usually tell you when something is wrong. Hope this helps,btw its not recommended to flush before harvest, however in a situation like yours it might be necessary. Peace

ok thanks.. i will probably let them dry now for 2 days then re-do the flushing but with 1/3 of the required nutes instead of just water.

No you do not flush with nutes! Either florakleen or molasses. Then after it dries out for a couple days or as I said I use the weight test, then you would add your nutes @ about 1/4 strenght then gradually increase.chech ppms & ph.this works for me.good luck.

If your using the floranova grow and bloom I would definitely use that florakleen for a flush when you switch to flowering to pass the salts through then maybe 1 more time mid/late flower then at the end for a flush or 2 weeks of only R/O water at the end.

If you were in week 7 of a 9 week crop, and you just did a light feed, would you use FloraKleen the time right after the last feed? Does it hurt to use it every watering in peat moss until the end at this point? I guess what I'm asking is can you "over use" it at the end by not doing a fresh water?

I don't know how to answer your question,but I usually flush for 2 weeks prior to harvest,florakleen can be used to flush after your final feed,so if you are in week 7 of 9 and you just fed,for the last time,after it dries out a bit start flushing with florakleen till harvest,once again this works for me,peace!

Cool man! If I understand correctly, this answers my questions. You are saying that you use FloraKleen every water for the last 2 weeks and you don't use just plain water at all. If that's what you are saying then I don't feel so bad about using FloraKleen every water til harvest. Rather use some kind of aid if it does help the taste at the end. Thanks!
