So I'm ready to switch to 12/12 and start flowering, do I need to give the plants 24 hours of dark or just switch to 12/12 after the next dark cycle??

Thanks

:peace: :bigjoint:

give em 12 hours dark bro then u tart it from there
Normally my lights would shut off at 11pm tonight and 12 dark would be 11am, I would like them to be on a 7pm to 7am scheudle just for ease of me being able to tend to the plants and the darkest times of the day here... sooooo should I turn the lighting back on at 7am tomorrow morning or should I shut it off at 7pm tomorrow and start the cycle that way......

I thought long and hard about this one, it is very challenging. LOL

What if you let the light run thru the night until your normal on time which I believe is 5am. Turn the light back on at 7pm tomorrow and there you go 7pm - 7am. That would give 6 extra hours of light for today which shouldn't hurt any thing and only 2 extra hours of dark. :bigjoint:

i would do the 11 to 11 seems like it would be better for the plants or plant you should post some pics of this treesbongsmilie

why would 11 to 11 be better than any other time? you can leave light on 24 hours with veg so I guess you could really turn dark at anytime couldnt' you?

If you give them 24-36 hours dark it is supposed to make them show sex a week early, this is something Ive seen posted on here several times. I am doing this myself, just started last night and am gonna do 32 hours of dark as I started from seed so anxious to know how many ladies I got.

i ran a 12/12 setup from 24 veg cycle... after i had a few weeks of veg ( im a big believer of lst and topping) and since i didnt want the lights on when i wasnt home, i opted to have them on @ 7pm and off @ 7am. acquiring a simple plastic torx garden timer from home depot (15.99) makes this easy... all i had to do was shut the lights down at 7am one day, and set the timer for activation @ 7pm on and 7am off. double check the time of day on your timer to make sure it matches your local time. walk away... i havent adjusted the lighting schedule since that day, 44 days ago though in 9 days i will kick it back to 8/18 to start the final 7 days of flower followed by 48 hours of darkenss to enrich those beautiful nugs with lotsa tri's ;)
