When does the countdown start for the female to finish?
Is it right when you see the first white hair?

When i use to count i would start when it really started thowing out hairs (pre flowers)

A number of factors. How girthy and veiny you are, combined with rhythm, motion, thrust, etc. Alcohol can sometimes play into it as well.

I consider pre flower to be when pistils start showing up in veg. I call what you're talking about as the transition or early flower. But I get what you're saying though. I count from flip just as a reference.

I found it easiest to just count 10-11 weeks from when you switch to 12/12 and go from there.

I usually count by flip but these were done as 12/12 from seed. Usually I consider the first week after the first ore flower to be "pre flower", then the "pre flower stretch" and I've always considered flower to be when the crowns appear.

I think the first and last pic above were around 1.5 weeks apart. That first pic was literally the first pre flower. Shit moves quick when 12/12 from seed.

I call it at flip.

Just depends on what the photoperiod is when the plant shows sex. I've had plants pre flower with 14hrs days in the middle of summer (december here), but not swing into flower until the start of February when it hits 13hr day length. If the plant pre flowers while the photoperiod is around 13 hours or under, it will likely continue is transition straight into flower.

I don't really count anymore, they are done when they look done.

Start counting anytime, just remember to keep on counting until they're done.

Same here, I look at the plants vs following a calendar when it comes to everything.
