Flowering a mother plant

I have a mother plant of Triple Purple Rhino that i have kept alive all summer to pull clones from for my winter grow. i have pulled all the clones i need and will flower the mother plant. The mother has been vegging since May under T5's in a 5 gal air pot in soil. Looks great considering i really neglected it over the summer. my question is how much do i chop it back before flowering? It could harvest another 20 or more clones but i dont need anymore. Last clones pulled was Sept 15. It has been trimmed back once since then and has filled out completely again.


What do i need to do before putting it into the flower room

I'd prune to get some light and air in there then let her flower. If you can use some clones in the next few weeks cut larger ones, wrap the bottoms in moist paper towel, place in ziplock bag in vegie drawer in fridge. They keep for a little bit and root well.

I flower all my moms.
She contributes an extra 10 oz or so to the room. And she gets to spend her retirement with her daughters. The least I could do for a lifetime of service to the cause.
Advice above about pruning to open up air ways is good advice. We tend to let them get too thick and bushy as that is what makes them good moms.
I put her on one of those roll around things for plants on patios ... and place her at the end of one of isle ways in a room. Can roll her around to get out the isle way.
I wish I could fly like a hummingbird -- I hate wasted and lighted real estate.

Drkwebs right get some leaf gone id. De-fol as much as poss up size the pot give her a couple weeks grow in bigger pot then flower her if you lst correctly youve got a 2 lb plant there m8!

I would de-fol to the stage you have 4 to 8 lats on each branch that are can begin to grow out fast, when that begins to happen,turn them. Should take 5 to 10 days.
