Flowering advice on current grow

Happy New Years all!

I am currently growing 2 strains: 2 Girl Scout Cookies and 2 Grandaddy Purple, all from Blimburn seed. I figured since both seemed to be indica dominant strains, there wouldn’t be an issue in having both in same grow. However my GSC plants are twice as tall as GDP and a lot bushier. I decided to place the GDP buckets on some paint cans to at least get the canopy even.

Anyways, the GSC plants on the right are extremely bushy and twice as large as the two GDP on left I’m used to more sativa dominant strains. Just wondering if I should be removing some of these fan leaves before flowering to try and get better air flow and light to the future bud sites. The fan leaves are huge lol. Also, while I’d be inclined to initiate flowering now based on the two plants on right, I don’t think the two on left are ready. Do you think I should keep vegging for a bit? If so, Maybe I should cut the right plants back a bit so they don’t get too large and take over the whole grow space?

I started all 4 plants from seed 34 days ago and amazed at how fast they have grown in DWC compared to my soil grows

Any advice is appreciated!

Looks good to me. Don't take leaves off.. You can always tilt and bend the taller plants and Low Stress Train them. The lower branches will pop through the upper leaves. You can also just fold, or push down the big fan leaves so that the branches get light.. Generally though you want to leave those on there.

Thanks a lot guys. There’s always so much conflicting info on defoliation and leaf stripping. I may try the LST and super crop methods to keep the girls on the right under control. Thanks again!

The best way, try it yourself, experience is the mother of all knowledge. IF you can swing it, grow 2 plants with the same genetic likeness and trim the leaves off of one...

See what happens for you..

That’s a really good idea actually and might try that on one of the plants and compare. I think I’m going to start flowering these in next few days as the two are going to get out of control if I wait much longer. And will try defoliating one to test and compare :)
