MG is loaded w/ chemical ferts so for the first 3 months or so, be very careful about adding anything, especially chemical ferts. I use organic MG and while I use some chemical ferts, I go very lightly w/ them and rely on organics as much as possible. local big box stores carry alot of organic ferts.
taste of produce seems better w/ less chemicals and it is very hard to burn a plant w/ organics.
to prove this, my mentor mixed a "soil" w/ just perlite,3-4 different guanos, bloodmeal, bone meal,ect. took a well rooted clone from a party cup & planted into the mix & gave it to me. it grew fine.
