So the time has come for me to flower out my plants, i'm gonna flower a sour diesel clone and three strawberry coughs. Plants are about 2.5 feet and have been veging for about 3 months

this is my first ever grow and i wanna know if my CFL light closet is good enough
i made the flexible fixture from the buds for less book, and in it i have two 60 watt soft white at the ends(these are some fatt bulbs haha got them from lowes) then a Y socket with 2 42 watt bulbs on either side and at the top i put two 23 watt bulbs, all soft white 2600-2700 lumens

thats a total of 334 watts, this going to be enough for 4 tiny plants?

Ideal would be 100w per plant for flower. What ventilation you got? Those cfls will produce a bit of heat. Nice set up tho man. Ive heard good things about that buds for less book

i havent invested in a inline fan yet, i was gonna put a stand up fan oscillating inside the closet, i made one of the DIY carbon filters and i got a bunch of ONA gel pucks, hoping it will be enough to contain the smell

4 plants that are 2.5 feet tall before flowering aren't gonna be tiny . especially that sour diesel . you can start with what you have but I think you'll need more light later on

I would try to spread what lights you have out for now. If the plant is 2.5 ft. now it will be very tall based on the theory of a plant becoming 2.5 to 3 times after flipping the switch. Considering the 8 inch rule with cfls you will have to have a lot of bulbs to get the coverage of light to all of the plant. Have you done any topping or lst? Would you consider it? Maybe Uncle Bens method could work for you?

i use 250watts per plant miniumum and addtional 100w per plants in flowering

and Vege 150watts per plant and add. 50watts per plant ....

So for ur sake 4 plants in flowering would be 550watts minimum.... better get fans.

If i put up a plant net will it keep the height down?

Here they are currently in there new home, i havent set up the timer yet, as for adding more wattage i might add some desk lamps at the bottom with more Y sockets, i just set up ventilation today, its pretty scrubby haha. i got two 7" honey well fans, mounted one to the top and one to the outside bottom. its pretty well sealed, stays around 31 c. took a minute to adjust the airflow of the fans so it wouldent inflate/deflate. for smell i have about 20 air gel pucks scattered in and around the tent,.

my first time trying to grow, and im on the top floor of a 2 bedroom apartment, closet is in one of the bedrooms, no air seeps out of the door into the hallway

added a screen and a desk lamp with two clamp lights on either side to the bottom, adding another 168 watts, hoping the screen stunts the growth a bit

Ok the screen was a good idea, but see in that last pic how the head is sticking way up out of the screen. You need to pull that sucker back down under the screen. Figure it like this, plants will stretch for the first 3-6 weeks (strain dependent). So keep pulling the top colas down under the screen till the stretch is done. then you should have a screen with a whole bunch of heads. afterword trim any branches that didnt make it to the screen. If there is so much under foliage that air isnt moving freely trim SOME of the fan leaves. (want to try and keep 4-6 as the plant will use them for waste removal.

Thanks bud! ill do this right now, hoping it doesnt stress them too much, i veged for like 3 months wish i put the screen in earlier.

Temperature hangs around 32 dg, i cant smell anything yet, i have 3 odor absorbers around the tent,

will i be able to get through to harvest with just a fuck ton of odor absorbers? im venting out with a honey well fan into the room. i just need to keep smell out of apartment hall way, there is always air coming into the apartment from the hall way so i think thats a good sign? and concrete walls

Its strain dependent tbo. I have a strain that doesn't ever really smell. At least not enough that i can smell it upstairs. (grow is in basement) Those Onu blocks are very strong. so open it and flip the lid with only a sliver exposed. grab some coffee beans and go out into your hallway in a hour. Huff some coffee beans/grounds (haha huff) and see if you can smell the block or not, if you cant, slide that lid open a little more. 32 is pushing it man. whats your temps with the lights out? Id try and pull that down to 30. that should be your sweet spot. If you cant, make sure you have a fan blowing over the tops of those girl. Whats your humidity at?

With the lights off at night it goes down to about 25, humidity is actually quite low, 25? should i put a bucket of water with them? or spray?

No bucket. Lower humidity is fine for flowering. Prevents mold. As for misting, ehh, watch your leaves. they'll tell you you.
