i would, it doesnt seem like your plant is responding well to that amount of light, you definalty need more. what strain is it? im guessing a sativa-ish strain that loves light. someone more knowledgable needs to chime in here

doesn't look the best, sorry to say
WTF? A comment like that is completely unhelpful and discouraging to a first time grower. If you're going to say something like that, at least give him some advice to move forward with. What is wrong with you?

Manigethigh, don't sweat it. No one's first grow is "the best." You're doing great, man. Your plants are looking nice and healthy and you're on the path to getting some smokable bud. The goal is always to get the biggest and densest bud that we can. We all do our best with what we have. But to answer your question, yes, more light will give you better results.

How close is your light to the tops of your plants? Forget what anyone says as a ball park distance in inches. Put your hand over the tops of your plants, and move the light as close as you can until your hand feels uncomfortably warm. That's too close. Back it off until it's comfortable again and leave the light there. Check every once and awhile as your plant grows bigger that you don't need to move your light up again.

The closer your light is to your plants, the more light your plants will get. The more light your plants get, the bigger and denser the buds will be. So definitely yes to the 70w light. If you can throw in your 70w and keep the heat manageable, it will only help. Good luck.

Hey good job, you say this is your first time growing? If so I think your doing a really good job. Theres not much more I can add besides what the post above me says... more light! lol In all honesty I would get as much light as you possibly can. If you can get a hold of some cfls to work along side your hps I'm sure your plants would thank you for it.

So yea hook the 70 watt hps up and get some cfls going.. oh sorry I may have missed it but did you say what kind of soil/fertilizers ur using?

Yeah I got a 250 I just tossed in a couple Flouros as well just to kick my little runt plant in the ass and speed up its growth

You can use flouros in Flowering right? Don't really see why not why dont you go buy a couple fixtures (10 each at Superstore) You can buy 10 Flouros for 13 bucks there to! Nice lookin plant to how big is your grow space?

go for it if the plants are looking thirsty or even do it before its almost time for lights out If you dont do it before lights out it could cause water mark burns or something like that

And I just saw your other pics and you MAJORLY need some more light in there a month and you dont got really any bud? Try the flouro idea I got 2 flouros almost touching my little runt plant right now

Need to hang the 70 on the side but not to close less you have a enclosed light. Not sure about using floro's with HPS light. I always turned mine off and just went with hps in flower.
