Flowering-Harvest Check In…

Hi RIU,

This is my first ”indoor” grow—not fully organic, used GH Flora series during veg. It is also my first grow that adverse conditions did not play a factor in determining when to harvest.

After reading a lot of information on this forum about being patient and letting your buds mature, I was hoping to get your thoughts on the status of the bud in the attached photo and of my “novice assessment”. Please correct me wherever possible as this is a learning exercise for me.

Plant: Indica dominate
Week 9, day 3 since pre-flower and switching to 12/12
Vegged in 1 gallon container until pre-flower under a single 100W small LED panel (was in the process of gathering equipment and flowering was under 2x 100W LED panels in tent. So, veg was no where near optimal, but now I have everything needed for my next all organic grow!

My “novice” assessmen:
1. Pistils have mostly turned amber
2. Pistils have not receded into the calyx
3. Calyx do not look swollen as for as I can tell
4. Trichomes on calyx are about 60% cloudy
5. Trichomes on sugar leaves are about 60% cloudy

6. The bud/cola is firm and very dense
7. Smell is good but not super strong
8. Buds are sticky but not super sticky

Summary: the pistils have not receded, the calyx do not appear to be swollen as far as I can tell, and the buds could bulk up a little. So, I’m thinking at least another 7-10 days— but just keep watching for changes.

Thanks!

Just to put it out there, your lights are probably actually 80-110w.

If it was actually 1000w it would be like $800 and super powerful.

I bought a cheap “1000w” led off amazon that’s really 110.
