Your plant will probably at least double in height during flowering. You will need a decent amount of space between the light and the top of the plant to prevent the top from burning. You have 6 feet total to work with. I don't know your setup but for most, the bottom foot is occupied by the pot, the top 1.5 feet is occupied by the light hood and the buffer zone you need between the plant and the light. That leaves you 3.5 feet of plant space. If the plant doubles its height during flower you would need the plant to be less than 1.75 feet at the time you flower. This is all hypothetical but these are some factors you should consider. Also the light penetration of a 400w isn't great, so it would be best to keep your plant short and bushy. Good luck.
