Flowering - Leaves Turning Purple...

I'm not growing any "purple" strains - I suspect that I'm dealing with a nute deficiency... or at least I hope (vs. bud rot).

This started to happen rather quickly, I've been erring on the side of less nutrients instead of giving too much like I did on my last crop.

What is happening here? This isn't happening to all of my bud sites (yet)

Been using FF Big Bloom, Emerald Harvest Honey Chome, Flower Fuel bloom booster (recommended amount), and Cal-Mag. Giving nutrients twice a week maximum in FF Happy Frog and been watering just tap water daily.

You should not be watering every day. Water them thoroughly and then sit back and wait until they're dry again. A healthy wet dry cycle is the best way to grow in soil
I can't speak on your feeding regimine, but ithe sounds like a lot compared to the simplicity I used. I'm sure someone else will be along.

Are you implying that my leaves are turning purple because I... water too much? What's the implication here, that I'm washing out nutrients from the soil before they're absorbed? Im asking because I haven't come across this anywhere else to date, and I don't think the symptoms here reflect overwatering but hey that's why I posted this!

Also all those nutes I measure out below the recommended schedule amounts per gallon of water, I'd say approx. 75% of the actual recommended amounts. And again, only twice a week no more. Could you clarify your feeding regiment? That would be helpful thanks!

Low 70s during lights on (71 F literally right now), night time in the 60s... growing inside (not a garage, like actually inside my house) with intake and exhaust fans so temps are balancing with my actual indoor room temperature so nothing drastic like if these were outside or in a shed or something

Some phenos turn purple some don't. i have had the same thing in an indoor tent. same seeds same strain just 2 different phenos, one stayed nice and green the other 2 turned purple. bad thing was the 2 that turned purple were much less powerfull as the high went. the green one was fire.

if it helps, i'm growing Wedding Cake (Barney's) and Cookies Gelato (RQS) - ultimately as long as its not 1) bud rot, which my dumb ass had on part of my first grow because i didnt have good circulation and 2) its not some severe nute deficiency (i'm still convinced something is up), then i won't stress haha

Imo your temps are too low , your using led right?

You're feeding nothing but P & K. Plants still need nitrogen in flower as you can see from the yellowing leaves. Your nutrient ratio is out of whack. I don't know why so many people go into flower and just start using nothing but bloom additives. A balanced feed from seed to harvest grows better buds.

okay so up the Big Bloom, and start chilling out on the bloom booster (switch to my FF tiger bloom)?

this my 2nd grow so i feel you man, just eliminating one beginner mistake at a time!

You're also lacking micronutrients. That Honey Chome is just magnesium nitrate, monopotassium phosphate, and potassium sulfate. The Flower Fuel is just monopotassium phosphate.

In your experience what do you suggest adding, that won't throw things into tilt? Upping the base nutrients (FF) and relaxing on the additives?

Yes feed them the Tiger Bloom. It has micronutrients and nitrogen. But to be honest I would switch to something other than FF nutrients for your next grow. And Honey Chome and Flower fuel are not needed if you feed a balanced nutrient regimen. Many of us never use any of that stuff. It's basically just repackaged salts marked up 10 times. You can get a pound of monopotassium phosphate for $10 and it's the same thing as Flower Fuel without the potassium sulfate and magnesium sulfate / epsom salts available for $5 for 3 pounds at any drug store and most grocery stores.

Yeah then waayyy too low. 80-85* is where I run mine. Low temps can cause purp outside but not sure about indoor

Yes. You run the base nutes until finish because they should contain everything the plants need.
