I’m Switched to Flower and my lights have adjustable dim for Veg (blue) and flower (red) I veged them at 100% Veg and 60% flower, what should I change the ratio for the start of flower. I don’t want to blast them full power in the start of flower, I have them 70% Veg and 85% flower. Appreciate anyone who can share

What kind of light and how are you measuring the percentage.
Just a Viparspectra Par600t, it has a screen I can set the percentages to what I want. They recommend 100% on both switches for flower, but I was told not to full blast them with light early, also they don’t like blue

Someone else should chime in I’m not familiar with that light. But yes shouldn’t full blast them early in flower the plants will tell you if it’s too much. Do a couple searches on here about the signs of too much light. It’s not a matter of not liking blue more so how the plants react to the blue. Known to give them a more compact size and other things

well,

week 1-3 of flower 600+ umol
week 4-6 of flower 750+ umol
week 6- end of flower 800+ umol
last 3 days 600 umol

plants leaves will look droopy if the light intensity is high, and the same leaves will look like firm umbrella when the light is perfect.

Yes, go full blast. In reality that light is old inefficient tech. Viparspectra has much better fixtures for a good price now. Check out the xs series.
I’ll probably end up having them 100/100 at like week 5 Flower or something. This is my first indoor grow.. learning. I plan to upgrade my light next grow

Cant really speak to the specific light but I go by power draw from the wall for mine (I have a 4 COB setup in a 3x3) I usually veg at 200w and then slowly crank it up to max (320ish w) over the first 4 weeks or so.

On a side note, I like to veg them until the top of the plant is just above the intake vent on the tent, then I will top or start LST at that point. Once they are trained up and ready for flower I will trim up anything lower then the top of the vent. It gives you a nice clean area underneath the plants to direct fresh airflow and makes maintenance and watering much easier/cleaner.

Nah, I won’t buy another Viparspectra. I was thinking a Electric sky from green sunshine company

I watch Mr. Canuks on youtube he uses them and grows dankk. Im kinda on a budget, what light would u recommend I have a 3x3
Viparspectra just sent me a xs1000 to test. It's honestly a solid light for the price, using decent diodes and drivers. It's a lot better than that old burple you have. If you're on a budget, don't spend $2/watt.

I normally run a DIY rig from HLG, and recently added a 315cmh to the mix, but viparspectra offered for me to test this light, and the lux meter readings and such I've done are on par. You can check out my thread about it: https://www.rollitup.org/t/in-cooperation-with-viparspectra-xs1000-in-the-mix-with-my-hlg-lights.1050691/

Not sure if you want to stay l.e.d or h.p.s but I personally use a 1,000 watt de super h.p.s from mixjoy with electronic adjustable ballast. You can get the whole set up with light hangers for a solid $200 bucks plus the light can pump out 1,200 watts of flower power!! This light is used by commercial cannabis growers and can grow some of the stickiest dank available on the market!! I have great results and for under 200 dollars you can't beat it!.
