Can you flower a lowryder 2 with CFL's? I am thinking about doing my first grow with lowryder and was considering get a HPS for flowering but I wasn't sure if it was necessary since it is an autoflowering strain. also would it be best to do a hps from the start?

Advice would be great from anyone who has lowryder experience. I have a Aerogarden Pro 100 that i have been experimenting with, but didnt want to commit the money with HPS if it wasnt necessary.

2 cfls will work but its not really nearly enough light for decent results.
Ive got good results with a minmum of 4 42w cfls with DIY reflectors..
But i generally use more...ie 5 cfls for sides and 3x 42w cfl floodlight for canopy..works good for me.
you could go with cfl for the first coupla wks then go hps and that would work real nice.

CFLs will work nice, but youre gonna want more than 2x 2700k warm white

Cool, thanks for the info Frosty:mrgreen: Do you happen to know if anyone out there has used HPS from seed to finish? I've looked at alot of threads but cant seem to find anyone saying they have tried this. Since it actually skips the veg state, I thought that may be a good idea.

I think that was like day 35 or something.. theyre still going, should be ready to cut n dry this week...Lotsa Trichomes on em, and they smell delicious..REALY FRUITY.
I coulda chopped sometime last wk, but the trichs are still only Cloudy, and i want a stoney high outta them..I am not a fan of Up highs, so i'm leaving them til the trichs have a good % of Amber + Cloudy

Most LR growers leave em another wk or so to finish off for the best results.

Also, be careful with the nutes, they dont like a whole lot of em, but they do like molasses
