Flowering nute question

Hey there guys and girls.

I'm pretty new to growing, have one under the belt already and one on the way. But I've done a lot of research and I also have some basic education in chemistry, physics, mathematics and biology so all these NPK's and ratios are not that much of a problem for me.

But I really don't want to burn my plants, and I've heard that the dozes on the charts are sometimes way too hot, but I don't want to feed them too little and lose my yield, if you know where I'm going.

I also happen to live in the middle of nowhere so the only nutes I can get are GH and Atami. I've used GH so far with decent results, but I've been wondering if I should switch to Atami.

I have 3 Silver Haze's growing under a 250W HPS system. They are 3 weeks into flowering, that is from 12/12, but popcorn buds are just starting to form. They are doing mighty fine.

I was thinking of the basic Atami flower nute, called Atami B I think, and Atami Bloombastic. Is there anyone out there who has used these nutes on this or a similiar strain?

Any info on dosages, what to mix and what not to mix would be very helpful.

And also, should I add molasses? And what's the deal with sulphured and unsulphured molasses?

Hope my english was ok. Much love, happy growing!

EDIT: Goddamn, too stoned!

I'm growing in soil. I have a pretty simple soil mix.

The plants have been LST'd so each has 3 large colas, so they're kinda like 9 small plants or something. They are in 10L pots (too little?).

I water them with 3 times 4L each time, nutes every other watering.

Tips and hints would be very helpful, I'm eager to learn to do this well.

Your English is great. Sorry, I've never used that nute. Depending on the amount of nutrients you added to the soil, if it's fairly basic it sounds like you're doing fine. It would be cool to see some pictures of your plants, it sounds like you have some happy girls. 10 liter pots will do you just fine. You only need to slightly adjust for the quicker water drainage and altered nutrient distribution. Usually for a LST'd plant smaller pots are just fine because the plant is so short comparatively. Sounds like you have the lighting just right for your amount of plants and growing style. If you've got mylar around those babies they'll flourish. :peace: bongsmilie

General Hydroponics have a lot of lines. I used their one part Total Gro, and its TotalCRAP.
I know their floranova is owesome and there are some known "recipes" for it.

I use some of Atami's supplements and they are good.
I'm thinking of using them next myself.

However, using soil you should use about 1\4 the dose, once every second watering.
Something like that. Check the EC and you would know.

That bloombastic think is pretty much PK and iron. Half organic or something.
I use plain PK - its CHEAP and VERY concentrated. Don't think the extra money will pay off.

Molasses is owesome. I started using it a week or two ago and I like the results.
You can use it alone for the last 3 weeks and get no ill-effects from any under-fertilizing.
Its pretty cheap (not in here however -_-) and you can use it instead of a chemical flowering "enhancer" (aka Blooming Stimulator if you go with Atami)
You want the unsulphured one. If you can, blackstrap.
An even tablespoon per gallon is usually what I hear is recommanded.
I use a piled tbsp for 4 gallons of water.

Thanks guys!

The charts have ratios both for hydro and soil, on my first grow I followed them blindly and did my babies burn or what!

I suppose it is OK to switch from one brand to another in the middle of flowering?

Bloombastic users, any tips would be awesome!

its just fine to switch brands.

the rule of thumb is that until you know your plants only give them what the deficiencies show. you might need nothing for the first month at all.
