flowering period ?/when

At what point can you say your plant is in there flowering stage.

If my plant is supposed to be ready 8-10 weeks . when do i say ok week 1 flowering has started ?

My plant has a few white hairs now at each branch and internode, but its not a lot of hairs yet.
is my plant flowering yet or another weed before i can say its week 1 flowering ?

Its hard to figure out I know, Im still trying to figure that out on my plant. I think its when you can actually see a female flower(bud) starting to form.

Time starts when you flip to 12/12, not from when you see flowers.

i guess when the days start to shorten and your plant starts producing flowers, theres no real need to time it you should harvest by what the bud looks like. by either trichs or hairs. RESEARCH!

Yea now is when it starts to pay off and gets fun, watching the buds grow just keep reading on here over the next couple weeks and you will always learn more. You will know when its time. And not by going by the clock lol

Start counting your flowering stage from the day you go outside and you realize OH SNAP THIS THING HAS HAIRS!

Don't worry about counting weeks of flowering. Especially if you are growing plants from seed or from multiple mothers, as different phenotypes will be present and thus the plants will mature at varying rates. Get a scope and watch your trichs, it is the best way to insure proper harvest time.

Diff strains need Diff Dark Periods to FLower.. Most Pure Sativas wont start to flower untill they get a dark period of 12hrs or more.. However indicas will flower with a dark period as little as 9 hrs.. Most strains are not a pure sativa or indica anymore but rather a hybrid of both strains.. There for they'll Start to flower anywhere in between.. How many fingers do your leaves have.? 7 fingers its more of a sativa, 5 fingers is more of an Indica.. The 1st couple weeks of the flower period are always hard to tell.. In my experiance when your pistils start to reach from the node below to the node above bud will start forming.. You will know when the buds start forming. One day there will be none and the next day you will have tiny buds all over.. They normaly start forming on the Cola first.. Just be patient with her bro and watch the hairs and trichs..
