flowering questions

I'm starting my girls into flowering and I was wondering what everyone else does do you let them have 24 or 36 hours of darkness before 12/12 thanks.....

I don't, but I read alot do. I go to dark 12 then on to 12/12

I just heard that it can reduce flowering time by a week or so but i don't know for sure....

I have tried it but im not sure it makes any difference.

I started flowering today, and after reading many threads, I didn't find enough credible information for this to help me. I am a true believer of Jorge Cervantes, and I've read all his books. Not one goes over a dark period before flowering. I think it will increase probability to stress them into hermies.

so you don't think they need any dark period to shock them into flowering

I just always turn them off 12 hours before I want them to come back on again and start the cycle that way. I've been reading about the 36 hours of darkness before starting the 12/12 and I'm going to give it a try next time. Shouldn't really make a difference but is supposed to reset the plants biological clock and help to show sex earlier. I already know the sex so it isn't going to help me there but still I'm going to try it and see if it makes any difference.

i actually just did a 56 hour dark period before i flowered, there is not any veg growth after the switch, your in full blown flowering.
