the pic i meant to addI know what ya saying something like this, i tried this but the only way i could keep them horizontal was to drill holes and use tiewraps to hold the bulb ballasts to the roof of the hood but didnt like the idea of one of the tiewraps slipping onto the actual bulb whilst im out and catching fire or something like that
Yea i was thinking something like that but the sheet metal i made the hoods out of is about 4 mil and took me a good 5 mins to drill each hole for the wires to go through, and i dont have a drill piece that will cut large holesThe best way for you to attach those cfl's to your hood are to to drill holes around the edge of the hood to exact size of the lamp holders and tightly secure them in the hole. Then simple screw the bulbs in. I've seen it done and it works wonderfully.
