fair enough... any pointers how best to do this? lemonjuice through the water, or lime through soil??! not really sure...

a small amount of baking soda will lower your ph, start out with a pinch per gallon of water, it doesn't take much.... vineger will raise your ph....

I use lemon juice in the water to get my PH down, it doesn't take much.

For a cheap reflector with CFL bulbs hit up your local farming supply store and look for a brooder lamp. Slap a Y splitter in there and you are good to go!
This is the one I have several of for CFL growing
