Flowering time

Does this mean it takes a certain number of weeks to start or is that the time it should be ready to harvest? Example; 8-10 weeks at 12/12 or that long at veggin and then flower?

Basically your plant will stay in the vegetative stage as long as you want, until you switch the light schedule to 12/12 (12 hours light, 12 hours uninterrupted darkness). Some people keep their plant in the vegetative stage for months, and some people start their plants at 12/12 right from seed. It mostly depends on how big you want your final plant to be. In any case, after you switch the lights to 12/12 your plant is officially in the flowering stage. After switching the lights, most cannabis strains take 8-12 weeks before the buds are ready for harvest.
