flowering time?

hi all i am a novice grower and im now at the end of the 7th week of flower on my 1st grow, am i right in thinking you start counting the days from the 12/12 switch or is it when u first see buds forming? any info would be a great help

They are ready when they are ready You start counting from 12/12.

Have a look at checking ripeness of your plants

highly recommend getting a little magnifying glass like jewelers use (you can get a 40x on ebay for like, 4 bucks) and check the color of your trichomes, once they've ripened to your likeness (many threads here on RIU on that), chop chop!
