Take the plung and switch to HID man, you will be real happy you did :)

CFL's just don't have the ass to back up some serious plants.

You dont need to listen to that, if CFL is what is going to work for you then so be it. I have seen several grows that had amazing results. They might not be the biggest harvests, or may not be what a HID can produce. But they can certainly satisfy small time growers looking to medicate theselves.Just try and maintain size and have sufficient lighting. When posting expect to hear people dissing cfls ALL DAY. I say eff em, lets try and prove em wrong!:joint:

you need 2500k for flowering.. my local hardware store had 26w cfls for $1 as part of the local power company discount program. Switch 5 out of six of those lights you already have with the 2500k bulbs and you should be fine. Check out the link in my sig to see my setup.

i fully agree. for Veging plants, and cloning CFL's are good, i think there great for cloning. but when it comes to flowering i personaly say you need at least 2 150 watt HPS to get the real potential of the plants.

You can flower with CFL's also, just not the same results. Not even comparable so why bring it up? Just comparing by opinion.
