flowering with cfls

I currently have 2 100 watt "day light" (blueish light) cfls for veg. I'm getting ready to start flowering in the next week or so. I have 2 45 watt warm light (yellowish) cfl's.

Since the blue is normally for veg, and the yellow is for flowering...which ones should i use?

I'm worried that if I use the veg bulbs, they wont flower as nicely.
But if I use the yellowish lower wattage bulbs...will that be enough for 2 plants?

So the question is, would I be better off flowering with the 2 100 watts, or the 2 45 watt bulbs?

Are those watt equivalents or the true wattage of the CFLs? Either way I would use all of them plus get some more lights in the correct spectrum. You will need WAY more light to flower two plants nicely.

Your better off not to use the daylight bulbs... they are for veg.. but keep em use the warmlight because those are the right spectrum for FLOWER....

well you can "flower" with both kinds of cfl's for sure waht ever the light temp of those is since flowering is started by hours of light and not by light temp:D

but "flowering" with cfl's eigther waste money or time, and mostly both since it would take about 800W, in terms of real Watts, to get the same output of a single 400W HPS.

so get yourself a 400W HPS, they start at around 100-120bucks at ebay, or by a real descent on in a hydro shop. this is a really fine shop were you get big bang for the buckhttp://www.htgsupply.com/index.asp air-cooled 400W HPS kit with everything to start with goes for little as 170bucks, which is for the value cheaper then dirt.;)

people are so quick to diss the cfls just becaue they dont produce the dense hps nugs. cfl grown buds can be just as potent as hps grown i can vouch for that. and for a grow of ur size u could have a nice grow. for larger grows cfls take alot more work.

You can't grow bud that is nearly as good with cfl's as you can with real lights. Tried both cfl's suck. Ask people how have done both.

sure you can grow big nice buds even with cfls but this will take much more then with HPS. depending how efficient the cfls are they can produce about 100lumens per watt, HPS will do about 150+lum/W, most cheaper cfls will only get about 60-85lum/W. so to match a 400W HPS it would take about 40 cheap cfls, so that will cost you about 160-200 bucks just in bulbs and for that you get a HPS sys of the finest kind. and in addition you got 800W in cfls burning using twice as much energy then the single 400W HPS...

and just with a few cfls you won't get to far, i did it once, figured it sucked dick and went outdoors for the next couple years.

you forget to add that hps flowered buds will yield much more then cfl's w/w.

well heres the deal guys

i've been growin 2 plants on 1 100 watt cfl. Yesterday i got a y-splitter and added another 100 watter.

i dont have any more lights than the 4 right now (2x100; 2x45)...and i'm using a lamp hanging upside down

ill take a pic in a little bit, but i'm just experimenting right now, it IS my first grow and all

just for fun...and even if i dont get bud, it has been extemely helpful on the dos and dont's of plant growing.

but most of all, thanks to all of you that have helped me thoughout this grow

My grow man is licensed and grows for many medical patients. He doesn't have the time or money to waste on cfl's. He wants a big and tight product. He has done this for years, knows he's stuff and doesn't waste time. Not only is he growing for many needy people but he is key in trying to legalize here in Oregon.

It comes down to cash, same as everything else.

Can you pay $100+ for lights? if yes, then select hps/mh lights.

If no, then select propper fluoros.

Both will get you some cropm but 1 will do better over time.
